SBST is so smart introduce this 43,Supplement for other high load svc besides providing a connection from Northeast to East side.860 another good svc IMHO.117 Punggol-Bt Panjang?Eunos underutilized too...Should let 35 or Introduce a new svc looping at Parkway parade?

eunos > bedok resevoir > bedok south then marine parade road maybe?
Winding le,Or best make it loop at Expo or Changi South beyond?Alternative for factory workers to get to and fro MRT?What da ya think?

113 load is split because most people going to Lor Ah Soo would prefer to get down at Serangoon and take 45 and 53 instead. FYI - There is a 45 DD doing a short trip on 45A from Serangoon Int to Lor Ah Soo, and the frequency is one in every 15 mins. So if you want to take DD home from MRT, take 45 during peak hours
and for now accept that 113 will not get DDs anytime soon.

The upper deck is always 80% - 90% filled from Parkway Parade to Buangkok MRT. Those who says 43 has low demands or upper deck is empty must be talking based on what they feel, and not what they observed.
I partially agree with you. Upper deck is full between Parkway Parade and Paya Laber and then again from NEX to Buangkok Green. The loading drops significantly between Paya Laber and NEX due to CCL.
The good thing about 43 is that it has high loading in these two sectors in both directions during the peak - not just uni-directional.

Agree Eunos Int is completely under-utilized. Bedok is over crowded. Should extend 1 or 2 services to Eunos Int.

The circle line crowd would take 53. And believe me, most of the people would rather commute to kovan station to board 113 instead of 45 because 45's frequency is worser than 113 and there isnt 45A during the evening peak hours. Plus, it's easier to board 113 than 45 because of the exits that the station offers. Today i took SBS966P on 113 today ard 7pm and it was fully packed. It should not be fully packed because the non-wab bus slot is not suppose to be like this. It should be the KUB slots that should be receiving the high loads

You talk like a 113A bus would park and wait for ALL the commuters to board the bus.

Let me ask you this. Why do you think no DDs are getting deployed on 113 if you believe the loading is so high?
SBST has been generous with adding DDs to its route in the past 3 months. There must be a good reason, right?

ppl forget got 53
Yes 45, 53, 53B in the evening and 45, 45A, 53, 53A in morning peak. Serangoon is a better int to get to Lor Ah Soo than Kovan MRT.

like 334. notice more DDs than usual on it nowadays, even running on full days blocks. the assumption that people will not go up to the upper deck on feeders does not hold true nowadays.

Yes. There are 4 DDs on 334 now - In Oct, there were just 2. 50% fleet is DD now
and at Jurong East Int, you can see each B9TL take around 90 pax at interchange itself with upper deck fully seated.
KUBs have 70 pax on board, with queue having around 15-20 pax who wait from before only as they want a seat.

165 DDs getting lesser.
How you all argue about 113 getting DDs = Stupidiotic.
Originally posted by SBS9252G:35 and 87?
I would say neither 35 or 87.
87 needs to go to Bedok as it links Kaki Bukit Industrial Estate and lot of passengers take it to Bedok will get troubled.
I would suggest 7 or 30 should start from Eunos instead of Bedok. You will hardly find pax on board between Eunos and Bedok on 7 & 30, and there are alternate services to take them.

Still 11 DDs right?
165 loading has dropped a lot. DD worthy loading is HG to AMK.
Originally posted by carbikebus:165 DDs getting lesser.
11 DDs, 7 SDs. Has that changed?
Service 26 no more DDs ![]()
