SMRT had said in their annual report that every single O405 (including the Volgrens if I'm not wrong) will be refurbished which means there will be extensions, otherwise it is a waste to refurbish the buses.

The MUP is compulsary cause buses already in sorry state,Then fare hikes u wanna pax take ur shit buses is it?The extension is standardise for public buses,Minimum is 2 years.Whether the co wanna scrap earlier if more new buses coming is their wish.The O405s already ROI for both TIBS and SMRT why wanna say about wastage?Even if they change to new engine and gearbox the Return of investment will get back in a month time.
