SMB139U was doing permanent service 851 yesterday and today! I forgot which shift it is, but it's between SMB78L and SMB93S.

Gosh, Like this WLDEP has almost no citaro left other than the ones on 75 ![]()
It is confirmed that TIB1138M (Former AMDEP/YIBP 806) and TIB1057M (Former AMDEP 851) have switched roles.
TIB1138M was spotted a lot of times in Service 851 recently, whereas TIB1057M is disappearing in sight.
Today TIB1138M came after SMB73A on Service 851! You may want to check it out, preferably in the evening peak hours, but be warned that bendy buses alternate shifts every week.

Bendy buses on 851 are they full day starters or all split on weekdays?

All 7 Citaros assigned to KJDEP operate on permanent service 77
10 Citaros were assigned to WLDEP, 3 for 920, 5 assigned to 75, and the other 2 to 961,
All the other Citaros not mentioned here were assigned to AMDEP, which holds the largest number of SMRT OC500LEs and Citaros out of the 3 SMRT depots currently.
in return, it does not hold any MAN Lion's City buses at all. So sad ![]()

Out of the total number of 8 bendy buses of 851, 6 of them crossover to Service 856 and 969 respectively, 3 to each service during Weekdays AM Peak. That's why you don't get to see lots of bendy buses on 851, almost all are OCs and Citaros or O405s. One of the 2 bendy buses operates between SMB79J and SMB96J, around 6am plus travelling to Yishun Bus Interchange in the MORNING ONLY, in the afternoon won't be seen, in the evening operates after SMB73A.
They will begin to reappearly slowly in the afternoon, and are most easily observed during PM peak hours.
Take note that the shift of bendy buses is usually fixed, however the buses alternates shifts every single week.
Did anyone see TIB798P recently?

Let's backtrack to the first time OC500LEs were deployed. Remember WLDEP did not take in any OC, and all the O405s (with the L113s from KJDEP) kept coming in at them?
And it was only when 128B - 134H entered WLDEP first on 961, that they transferred 119C - 122S from AMDEP. And over time, more OCs transferred to WLDEP from KJDEP and WLDEP in exchange for some O405s from WLDEP.
Let's now go to the timeline of the Citaros. Excluding 136C, the PB Batch 1 buses were deployed to both WLDEP and AMDEP. 5 for each depot. Then, when the PB Batch 2 came out, KJDEP initially took in 149R - 151H, 169H, 177J, 181X - 184M, 186H - 188C. But then most of these buses got transferred to either WLDEP or AMDEP due to them taking in more MAN.
When MAN A22 PBs were first introduced, 192P 231K 236Y 238S 240J from AMDEP transferred to WLDEP, but in exchange for no buses. This left AMDEP with no MAN A22s. It was only much later on when some of the OCs, Citaros and O405s got transferred to KJDEP or AMDEP due to the intake of the 25x-26x series MAN.
And now, with the intake of 27x-29x series MAN to WLDEP, Citaros O405s have been transferred.
But don't you see the patterns? When one depot doesn't want/take in a certain model, eventually over time, the deployment will settle down for that depot? So I am hoping over time that the excess MANs be deployed to KJDEP and AMDEP hopefully, in return for the Citaros and O405s.

Yes, on 08/07 on 851 as per usual..
Anyone has any idea where SMB46D and SMB47B is recently? I heard SMB46D is operating 851 recently at 851AM12 if I'm not wrong, with it's new Purple Fisherman's Friend Ad with Paige Chia.

Honestly they're still in very good condition. It'll be sad to see them go. They're so iconic. I do hope that the DAFs, Lances and Scanias go before them.
That's why SMRT refurbished the buses (Except Lance). Although you will miss the old interior and ELBO's previous Sliding windows, you get to ride on them for 2 more years at least!
Enjoy your rides on these old buses now, before they leave Singapore like how the SBS O405s leave us!

Both should still be 851 split shift buses..

If I remember correctly there were 5 OC500LEs that got transferred from WLDEP to AMDEP in return of the 5 MANs.
Hope to see somemore lances go off with the recent transfer of 3 Citaros to AMDEP.
