Which are the services u would most likely to see?

the following are my numerous suggestions whcih SBSt did not even reply to:
Service 163
Extend to Punggol
this one got result. they ttok my suggestion to extend the bus along fernvale BUT instead it now ends at sengkang. haiz
ORIGINALLY:
u would have to combine 163 and 83 for today's buses.
Service 3
in a few years time:
onece the road from punggol to pasir ris dr 12 is completed.
Service 3 will extend Pasir ris st 71 and go into punggol edgefiled there.
Service 17
Service 17 will no longer serve pasir ris. instaed after tampines it will go onto the TPE and come out at punggol rd before heading for punggol int.
passengers cna take alternative service 21 or service 12 or service 15
Service 153
to be extended to punggol int when the interchange is finish building.
Service 83
will be withdrawn
New TIBS service 888
choa chu kang - punggol
via: PUNGGOL int - punggol central - punggol field - punggol rd - TPE - seletar camp - TPE - SLE - Yishun ave 2 - sembawng rd - Mandai rd - BKE - bt panjang rd - teck whye - CCK INT

As again, xin1jun, u musnt think for yourself only. Cuz is 17 is withdrawn, it will affect residents in Drive 4 in pasir ris and the residents along tampines ave 2 to pasir ris - besides that 17 is the only bus servicing in ave 2 to pasir ris.

I am glad that they ignored YanXin's suggestions . Yanxin , those buses that u mention in tampines and pasir ris area are my buses in my area , stop suggesting such ideas. No disrespect to you but you know nothing about tampines/pasir ris area , so please do your research first before suggestion these ideas .

Regarding the SBST and Tibs "services into rival territories" policy, I will be glad if the policy be changed to let services 168, 858, 161-or-965 turn into Punggol via Punggol Way and Punggol Central.
Extension of services to Punggol:
Service 80 for link to Paya Lebar area.
Service 87 for link to Hougang, Eunos and Bedok.
Service 156 for link to the west.
Service 159 for link to Ang Mo Kio and Toa Payoh.
For now, I don't see the need of new services in Punggol. -

As for 17: i wanted it to look like svc 27 express along TPE. however one can still make 17 extend thru pasir ris (keeping its pasir ris route intact and then coming out at elias rd (after going past the int) and heading towards TPE before going punggol

further improvements:
extension of service 103 to punggol.
now punggol residents got bus that goes to jln kayu and even to serangoon rd.
156 extend. fully agree.. a goodl ink to the west

Services 3 and 17 don't need to ply the same route. Service 17 can ply Dr 3, Elias Rd, Dr 1 & Dr 12 before entering TPE.Originally posted by xin1jun2:i see

WARNING:
the following idea just popped into my head. no basis for it.
INTEGARTION of 357 st 71 loop with 17.
basically just extend the 17 onto 357 route on st 71 area. then 17 go on to punggol. (sunndenly some residents at st 71 are complainin gabout their loss of 357 as 17 does not loop and delted sectors appear)
so 357 becomes a normal feeder service (suddenly we hear some dr 1 residnets complain that they dun like taking 53 all the time)
but yah sbst is like that go see the xample of svc 60 for 226 and 385 combine..tsk tsk tsk
my fbedok resv ren is still complaining to me about his loss of 226 and that he has to take other bus.

You guy still remember the renumbering of feeder service at Bt Batok?
I thk that SBS would want to take back 361,365 and 367 to be used as Punggol feeder service.
Why? B cause sengkang is using 37x series so why not 36x series for Punggol.

Not only Sengkang is using 37x, Jalan Kayu terminal also have 37x services. -
Errr 37XX ? Sengkang doesnt have 37XX series if you are refering to scania buses perhaps in the future after NE line open .

Regarding ur new TIBS service 888, I dun think there is enough passenger capacity from Yishun to Punggol. Also, those few can transfer from 965 to 82, 83 or 136 at Punggol Rd.

I'm referring to 37x, the bus service number series currently used in Sengkang and Seletar camp, ie. 371, 372, 378 & 379. -
Good news for Punggol Residents:
" RESIDENTS in Punggol will have more bus services in their estate by the end of the year, their MP, Ms Penny Low, promised yesterday.
The number of services has not been confirmed, she said, but it will reduce, if not eliminate, the need for residents to take a feeder bus to the Sengkang Interchange for a transfer out of the north-eastern corner of Singapore to the city centre.
This 'mini interchange', as Ms Low described it, is slated to be at the present Punggol Terminal, which has only one bus service now.
The terminal is next to the Punggol MRT station on the North-East Line, which is scheduled to be opened on Friday.
The current 12,000 homes in the two-year-old Punggol 21 estate will get a more comprehensive interchange when the population in the area increases, Ms Low told reporters after a walkathon at Punggol North to raise funds to help needy residents.
Punggol 21, when fully developed is expected to house 80,000 families."

ya...gd news for punggol residents....but i can't help but think that the roads need to be widened if the traffic is to be smooth. right now, seems abit bad esp at the only flyover between sengkang and punggol. the other near edgedale plains is still under construction. i suggest the authorities look into more exits and entry to punggol/sengkang. make punggol seems like and isolated "island town" with limited exits/entry.

Unlikely. Buses for the new routes will come from withdrawn routes.
