But looking at the ever shrinking new bus interchanges, I doubt LTA is going to provide lots for bendy buses in future. Using more rigid SDs for busy feeder routes is fine but I think our bus operators got to bear in mind the need to purchase buses that can allow greater crush load during peak hours. So far only the low entry buses such as Scania KUB and MB OC500LE can do that. Those “fully” low-floor buses got such narrow aisles towards the rear that it can only accomodate few standing pax. As there is also a step towards the rear seats, I don’t see any difference between “fully” low-floor and low entry bus models. And many people are avoiding those face-to-face seats. How I wish the new SBST Citaros are low entry versions!
Only the fully low floor Wrights are genuinely fully low floor!
maybe let SBS operates all trunk routes and SMRTB operates all feeder routes

112, 113 are more like intra-town for me, but 115, 181 and 194 are definitely feeders.

Those face to face seats are really bad - be it SD or DD.. they are hardly occupied. It is irritating when passengers cannot get in coz the bus is full and at the rear there are these face to face seats that are empty.
But it is a BIG problem for SDs as DDs atleast have many more seats. But imagine in a 31 seater, if your 4 seats get wasted.

Lower decks of DD are also face-to-face but sideways
don't forget MRT trains too
and older folks normally don't like to sit down immediately on a seat that has just been vacated..there is a health issue behind it...they believe the butts will develop sebaceous cysts
that's why you notice some seats are vacant and the passengers would rather stand besides the vacant seats..that's why it's a waste of space

yes..again SBS screwed up their numbering system
they shouldn't use 11X series
Tampines estate had many of their feeder routes (etc, 291, 293, 294, 295, 297) converted to townlink but still retain their 29X series

they convert it to trunk so that they can earn a few cents more

SMRT can't handle their basic services well. No need to let them handle so many services. In the end, commuters are the ones suffering.

SBST want to suck people's money what , Feeder 321 and 326 became trunk 113, Feeder 322 and 327 became trunk 112..
Feeder 328 now service 101
290 merged with 220 to form 38, 294 and 357 > 3
In reality where u see ppl take one end to another for this 113/101?At most 4 bus stops.About sucking $$$ its something like enhancement. If theyre really greedy then 240 will be renumbered and change to trunk svc,More likely ppl take for more than 6 bus stops leh.If i'm the regulator i will change the system like this..
SBST:Choa Chu Kang,Bukit Batok,Tuas,Boon Lay,Jurong East,Clementi,Buona Vista,Kent Ridge,Eunos,Bedok,Tampines,Pasir Ris,Punggol,Sengkang,Hougang,Ang Mo Kio,Bishan,Yio Chu Kang,Whampoa,Toa Payoh.

SMRT:Woodlands,Yishun,Sembawang,Bukit Panjang,Bukit Merah,Harbourfront and Shenton Way/Marina
Depots:Woodlands(1&2),Mandai & Small bus park near Pasir Panjang
EWL/NSL,DTL & Bukit Panjang LRT
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Berlin_B9TL_517.jpg
SMRT should consider this but of course with full roof and aircon plus powerful engine if they wanna different from SBST.See the rear door? Its far from usual
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Reading_Transport_1103.JPG or this with new DSC9 320hp/1600nm
The 112 & 113 taiji is more because if you noticed, the last bus coincides w/ the last MRT arrival at Kovan.
But Kovan does not have Int, and it's not operationally practical for last bus from Hougang Central all the way to say Upp Paya Lebar and loop back.
Seriously SBST do have their reasons for 112/113.Last time there's Hougang South Int.

Punggol Road End is considered inside Punggol New Town. New Flats will be built in that area..
112 and 113 should be feeder or Townlink..
181 should be feeder..
lol 403 existed before Pasir Ris New Town developed..
the list should not even appear in the first place. how service numbers are numbered depends on when they are numbered. you mix old service numbers that were numbered last time and newer service numbers that were numbered within the past 5 years...
got logic or not?
