But S'goon, Clementi, Jurong East, Sengkang alrdy ban bendies from entering... more to come...
I feel for the feeder buses. They clearly didn't have enough rest.
Any idea what rego that Habit caught fire in this topic?

I would rather nobody on those buses except you.
And what in the world is a carrot of fire??

If indeed is 1069D burnt it is lucky not to have the damage it has on 1074M 14 months ago.

I think he meant the "chariots of fire" as what the londoners refers the Citaro G as. There is no such things as "carrots" of fire

Yeah 1074M is the worst burn i see since 566S. But anyone can tell us the rego of the bus?
TIB1070Z, TIB1039R

Ok strike that out.
Add in 1053Z, that bus only cameos on WRI feeders.
Wah, another bendy bus up into smoke. Last week another bendy just kana major accident in Pasir Ris. Bendies are really bad luck to SMRT buses. I think it is a sign that SMRT should forget about bendies in future.
Seriously bendy buses are jinx to SMRT buses, which not only give space problems in all the bus infrastructures like depots, bus stops and interchanges, but they burn up one by one year by year, which means a bus lesser and make SMRT bus more inefficient. Somemore many of the bendies burnt are not even 15 years old.
I think it is time that SMRT should learn their lesson and fully give up on bendies and concentrate mainly on DDs and SDs.
Bendies always give SMRT buses bad luck which cause SMRT buses become so bad. These buses are not suitable for our local demanding operational needs, as most of the time they get overheated easily, so it is a matter of time they will be burnt and scrapped. If these bendies continue to burn and new bendies come in and get burnt or give other space related problems, I think SMRT buses will never going to make any profits.
SMRT buses, switch to double deckers, rather than see you sink deeper and close down because of these problems caused by bendies.

I feel much safer taking a Bendy than DD~

Your opinion. Actually I prefer DDs than bendies. The rear of the bendies are always very hot. I wonder when the engine will burn up behind me.
Wait till the bendy you take one day spewing smoke, then you will say a different word. You never know how those who take a burnt bendy bus feel.
Sorry, I don't want SMRT to sink deeper with troubles just because of bendies.

LOL~ Bendy bus driver would know when the bus is going to burnt etc.(based on news report for 1110S or 1105H). Double deck is worst. There's nothing to notify you when a tree is dropping down etc.

Ironic. Like tree drop down will never hit bendy bus as well...
Please lah, tree collapse will also crush a bendy bus. If the bus is longer, more chances to be crushed by the fallen tree.
Gee.
I mean we already had cases of 9599G and 9400X to name a few.
You literally don't know what hits you in those cases.
But the likes of one of 854's bendy, 99x, sound like it threatens to explode anytime.

So since bendy buses will burnt, wouldn't the DDs too? LOL~ It's all the matter of proper mataining, not bendy buses being the jinx to SMRT
And to addon :
Every buses rear is sure to have the heaty feeling. You can try the Wrights rear next time. Even if SMRT buys the DDs, I am sure they will also ended up like the bendy.
9599's case was found the cherry picker contractor did not follow safety guidelines...

How many bendy buses burnt from engines as compared to DDs for the past years??? Figures can show.
And bendy buses have higher accident rates than DDs and SDs because of their sheer length.

It's not about the number (: It's the quality of maintance. Buses are made to transport people, not to burnt as and when they like. You said Bendy buses have higher accident rates, true. But if the driver practise safety everytime, I believe that the number would drop.

Yes, Mr Pininfarina is well known for his design of Ferrari and other sports cars
Add on TIB982Z, TIB1021R, TIB1118X...
I ever top up nearly 3 1 liter bottles of water into the Habit before on 811 Iirc. That perm driver also like dun care. Those bendy consume more water for cooling compared to SDd and with SMRT light foot attitude that's make thing even worse.DDs also consume water a lot but most of the BCs did check before driving off from depot.

Then you should shoot email to their relevant dept regarding the maintenance.
