Why SMRT bendy buses are prone to catching fire? According to hwz forum,
TIB1063U caught fire from the engine area at Boon Lay Temp Int in the morning of 17 March 2008, and was back on service.
You should see how many of its Lances have burnt down too.

London cannot shift to SDs is becoz of loading conditions, popular demand in buses and also high population.
I think SBS1000U (and maybe u, who juz spout nonsense in the high loading svc thread) is/are the one(s) siding the DDs, nvr giving the bendies a thought on its pros. I DO give DDs pros too. Otherwise I would hv tore SBS down for sending away my B10MA.

Don't care that SMRT bus services is detoriating badly partially because of bendies hogging up the spaces in depots, interchanges and bus stops, delaying other buses and make our buses less efficient, and making their planning of operations more difficult.
Never think about how hard it is for the technicians to maintain these complex parts of these bendy buses and how tiring for BCs to drive these buses everyday, just because they have to be more careful of the extra length.
No one yet has been killed by bendies accident yet but many have been injured by one on 857 few months back.
And yet no practical thinking of how to solve the problem for the future, and giving more problems for SMRT with your silly fantasies. LTA has already made their point indirectly, like it or not.

SBST operates DDs for more than 30 years, not much problems. SMRT operates bendies for only 15 years and so much problems.
