æ–ç« å�–义... Trying to twist the facts. The 8074 incident was triggered because the Habit in front last min try to siam a m'bike during lane filtering. Need to say more abt poor speed control? Happy time step on accelerator, see hazard siam go step on heavy brake. Of course didn't know did the 8074 BC followed the dist keeping rule... But if it's sudden brake, also cannot siam. I guess the cause was bendy too long, SL last min realise the tail too near to m'bike???

Seeing your posts make me wonder who's the real RETARD big time.Have u ever drive a bendy or servicing a bendy before?Sg is good for bendies??R u sure?Then how come till now there's not even a single WAB bendy in SMRT fleets after the WAB scheme is introduced 5 years back?Look Im not a bendy hater but with Singapore grewing populations and vehicles growth bendies are not feasible anymore.DDs in heartland got problem ah?Which svc can u list out some?Already there are many examples of SMRT crappy maintenance and bus care evidence.Bendy burnt while on svc,Engine roaring like mad,Stuck gearbox,MAN buses dirty like asshole,Air suspension leak and the bus aren't 1 year yet!If they think bendy is so practical and is part of SMRT icon why dun they at least maintance the engine in good condition?FYI there are many problems with articulator joints,Axles cracked and engine overheat cases particularly Wldep.Technician also complain very complex and troublesome.During TIBS there's less problem with bendy compared to smrt now..It's up for you to believe or not kid but I assure you there will be no bendies in future!
And don't need to remind me about proofs.I always attend LTA/PTC/SMRT meetings

I only saying bendies are more practical for feeder... much better than DD...

Why SMRT bendy buses are prone to catching fire? According to hwz forum,
TIB1063U caught fire from the engine area at Boon Lay Temp Int in the morning of 17 March 2008, and was back on service.
TIB1105H caught fire at Marsiling in the early morning of 20 August 2008. It has been repaired and back on service as of 23 August 2010.TIB1110S was scrapped in December 2003 as it caught fire while operating on Service 903.
TIB1074M was burnt in May 2011 as it caught fire while operating on Service 61.
TIB900K was de-registered and scrapped due to fire in 2000 while on Service 67. -
You should see how many of its Lances have burnt down too.

HK cannot shift to SDs is becoz that time it was under ruling of British gvmt, until 1997 when they finally brought in more SDs. But it's becoz of high population and expensive price to do a SD turnover that they stuck with DDs till now. Singapore can switch to bendies u noe. IT'S NOT AS HARD.
London cannot shift to SDs is becoz of loading conditions, popular demand in buses and also high population.
I think SBS1000U (and maybe u, who juz spout nonsense in the high loading svc thread) is/are the one(s) siding the DDs, nvr giving the bendies a thought on its pros. I DO give DDs pros too. Otherwise I would hv tore SBS down for sending away my B10MA.
Selfish kids always think of your own fantasies.Don't even bother that our roads don't have enough space for these long buses as our population density is increasing so fast and this is going to be more dense in future.
Don't care that SMRT bus services is detoriating badly partially because of bendies hogging up the spaces in depots, interchanges and bus stops, delaying other buses and make our buses less efficient, and making their planning of operations more difficult.
Never think about how hard it is for the technicians to maintain these complex parts of these bendy buses and how tiring for BCs to drive these buses everyday, just because they have to be more careful of the extra length.
No one yet has been killed by bendies accident yet but many have been injured by one on 857 few months back.
And yet no practical thinking of how to solve the problem for the future, and giving more problems for SMRT with your silly fantasies. LTA has already made their point indirectly, like it or not.

SBST operates DDs for more than 30 years, not much problems. SMRT operates bendies for only 15 years and so much problems.

True to some extend, but how about rainy days or 3rd door spoilts or EZlink card reader cannot work???And how many time wasted by the queue of bendies in front so that this bendy bus can stop safely beside the bus stop to alight the passengers???

Safety first. Many were injured by DDs too, besides deaths.
