I miss the nice bodywork of these Duple Metsec buses and that Walter Alexander version as well.
To me, yes very bad. ![]()

What do you think about the new mandarin announcement on trains? ![]()
Thinking about it, SBS Transit buses should have the next-stop announcement LED board just like the SMRT buses. Win-win situation, given the amount of routes SBST runs.

A more "Chinese" train. Kawasaki and Sifang...

HK-MTR!

SMRT has budgeted that, but they don't even have a budget for maintenance.
SBST is just being lazy. Would work perfectly on the new Citaros and Wrights anyway.

SBST no PIS but use service guides.
SMRT no service guides but use PIS (though Citaro one dunno why dun have)

SBST had more than thirce the amount of buses as SMRT.
maintenance costs and epic errors ...
a bus showing AMDEP(!) at the end of its route
another bus showing only Yishun Int
and another showing OPP Blk 575 shortly after leaving WRI
there could be some buses showing wrong details on wrong buses

last time i rode on 145B, PIS shows nothing at all!!
maybe it is a AMDEP 531/SP

Thing about SBST using service guides is that sometimes if you're trying to help tourists it's gonna be quite hard.

144D did perm for 804 some time ago right?
and not even 167's info is inside?
Not uncommon but there are bus captains who display the wrong destination EDS.
E.g: SBS5067B heading to Bishan Int, but destination displays "New Bridge Road Terminal"
Error still acceptable for these kind of services, but not for some such as 21, 131 and 139

In fact I dun think any of the Citaros displayed any of the bus service's info
But strangely they started displaying them for the NL323F (which is a good thing though)
