Oh wow it's rare for a Wright to go that fast

Speed limiter. That's why hardly they drive fast. Else we will high accident rates like Hong Kong, US, etc.
As long as bus is on time, no need to speed. Accidents can happen anytime in a blink of the eye. Better be safe than be sorry.

Take more DDs please.
I shan't name any particular bus or service in case TP is looking.
Service 22,with DTL, may lose ridership and be full sd
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:88 has super high loading. It is one of the few routes where you can see standees on a DD even in the afternoon off-peak hours.
If you observe, people who board 88 at Toa Payoh, start alighting only from Bishan onwards.
High loading areas (PM Peak - Pasir Ris Direction):
Bishan MRT > AMK Ave 6
AMK MRT > Sengkang
(PM Peak - TP Direction)
Pasir Ris > Punggol Road
Buangkok Green > AMK MRT
Pretty much same as your analysis :)
this segment not as crowded (still have standees)

Dun assume anything. that you dunno.... last time they withdrawn /amend so many bus services and already got so much complain.. now buses services are to stay to help the MRT lines.
Sv22/24 -- CCL duplication from lorong chuan to paya lebar area... Sv70 same duplication till Suntec area... so ppl say that they are going to be withdrawn/shortened..
they wont do anything to Sv 65/66/67.....
How I wish SBST had understood this earlier... I hate NEL more and more oredi... I want my 501 & 502 back!!!

That's not entirely true.
1) Look at the small window of operation. This is the same reason why I chose NEL/CCL over 151e even though I am willing to pay more.
2) Road condition.
3) Look at the core crowd of 147. A lot of retirees board in the day-time. And then people like me take this service only at night when the traffic dies down.

Interestingly, there are a number of studies that had concluded that improving bus services rather than building more train lines will actually be more cost-effective in moving crowds in general. The same was painfully apparent in the case of our LRTs.
It seems to me that the BSEP was in fact a very very very belated action in response to what many other academia in various countries found out.
Clues that LTA have in fact seen this studies include the mandatory give-way yellow boxes, to try to improve bus services without actually attempting to spend more money to get more buses.
As a matter of fact, the acknowledgement of the failure of the projected cost-effectiveness of the LRT project should have been warning enough, but here we are, carrying on with the building of more heavy rail.

Agree. With DTL, there is no need for more MRT lines at least for a decade now.
Bus services in WL, CCK, Yishun need the most help because the population is increasing, no new MRT lines and ofcourse the SMRT operations here don't need more mention :)
In the next 5 years, the bus services around YCK, AMK, Hougang, Sengkang, Punggol will also need upgradation, especially routes plying along AMK Ave 3 / Hougang Ave 2 & 3, Eunos Link.
Another route that will need more buses is YCK road, Buangkok Green, AMK Ave 5. Already SBST has done a good job with introducing 43A and 70B.
Another area is Marine Parade & Tanjong Katong that will require more buses as no MRT line there too
