I don't think they've registered the rest of the 62xx series yet from what I know~
Originally posted by TIB1105H:hmm really, i wonder y they wan register 66xx when the 350 haven finish and the bsep 63xx just started. Unless, they wan stop at 63.. something and jump to 6600?
Were the original 63xx series Citaros parked in the dealer carpark with their regos attached already or regoless?
The previous batch of non-BSEP ones IIRC they went to the respective depots with the rego plates attached (at least from what I know about BNDEP so far it has been this case).
The BSEP ones somehow went to the depots regoless before the depot staff attached the rego plates abt 2weeks+ before each round of BSEP enhancement starts.
Anyway, I'm thinking that 66xx might not be BSEP but then again, the 63xx rego range is running out already. 66xx series might be something of a lucky number I guess. "Liu liu da shun", LOL.
But until now I still don't understand why they chose the number 3 for the BSEP programme though for both operators (63xx for Citaros, 33xx for Wrights, 3xxx for SMRT MANs). Does anyone know?

As the Volvo B10Ms to be pharsed out in near future, the replacements will surely be WAB buses.

The roof exhaust of the Volvo B9L won't be approved by LTA, which is why I suspect SBST do not choose the B9L.
Anyway, Citaros are fine to me, as long as SBST maintains them well generally.

You did not get my point. Once they are back on domestic services with probably KUBs replacing them on 160/170, the WAB quotas will surely be affected without additional WAB mass purchases to replace the KUBs lost to cross border services

u mean by pulling out 80 KUB out of 1100 KUB will affect the WAB quota? 80 out of 1100 KUB is around 7.2%... if add in another 600 citaros, so if pull out 80 KUB out of 1700 KUB/Citaro, it is just 4.7% of the fleet for SBST... it wont affect the quota at all...
further, SBST will sure buy new buses first before replacing them....
btw, there are now more than 60 SP Kub/citaro available....more than enough to replace the fleet for sv170...

Right, but the buses must be low-floor (like Volvo B9Ls as what he had mentioned).
B9Ls rear ain't too high about the same height as the luohan MAN head..Or probably LE?Dun think LTA ban new LE buses

That's what I like about SBST,They dare to invest new buses even without scrapping the old buses

There are still about 400 Citaros waiting to be registered. Even there is 100 K230UBs pulled over to do 160/170, there will still be more than enough WAB buses in SBST fleet. Not to mention another 500 more B9TL Wrights.

Natural increase in fleet...believe that the B2 & B3 Olympians will still stay with the B3 Wrights entering service in 3 year's time.

Why suddenly got 66xx? Then 64xx 65xx and the rest of 63xx?

i am thinking this one is batch 2 citaros
might as well continue the rego instead of skipping

63xx is for the rest of the BSEP batch I presume. That's why they're continuing to reg under the 63xx for the new BSEP Citaros.
64xx series I'm thinking they're skipping cause of the unlucky fengshui or something. Try pronouncing it in Chinese and you'll know what I mean. Just my guess.
Then the 65xx series is perhaps for the next wave of BSEP after they run out of 63xx series regos since they're nearing the end of 63xx range?
So yeah, 66xx might be for the latest Citaros they ordered or something~

Hope the 66xx citaros will be different~

dont think there will be any different.
Anyway, the 66XX citaros are not for BSEP right? When will they start service?
could part of the 66xx citaros are for tampines<->changi/loyang service? coz the govt say this service they are using buses by SBST from the 550 citaros batch
Originally posted by azharjj:could part of the 66xx citaros are for tampines<->changi/loyang service? coz the govt say this service they are using buses by SBST from the 550 citaros batch
when will it be launched?
but 6609 and 6610 to AMDEP...

I'll go check again tmr for the new regs at BNDEP then update you guys again. Last spotted was 5 shiny Citaros as of yesterday PM Peak at the usual place where they park the new Citaros usually.
Anyway, I'm editing the 66xx batch as under non-BSEP for now on Wiki. Mods on the main page of Wiki, please help to edit for now the rego range under the Citaro link.
Any changes to the 66xx batch, i.e. if they're under BSEP batch later on, then move to the relevant section. Thanks. Just trying to tidy up the wiki section for now.
but having 666 is devil number...

Citaro batch 2, not BSEP.
