Probably CCK - Somewhere North-East ba~~
Is 972 the new route in the LTA post a month back regarding service in Bukit Panjang? If you want to share details atleast share properly.
SMRT/LTA should launch new service from BPJ/CCK to Sungei Kadut Industrial area along CCK Way and Sungei Kadut Dive, where 925 does not ply.
This whole area is not serviced by SMRT. SMRT also needs to improve sv 925 like SBST improved 78/79. These routes have been so successful after massive fleet add and upgrade by SBST.
Just goes to show that people have moved to sv 78/79 with the extended fleet.

from LTA webbie
"By the end of 2013, two more new services will be implemented to further improve connectivity in areas like Taman Jurong and Bukit Panjang. Details of these new bus services are being worked out. We will provide more information closer to the implementation dates."
the new 972 is for BP i think while for taman jurong.... hmm
so 972 starts at the west is it?

User Thomas posted that he has info on sv 972. Considering that LTA published that there will be a BPJ service, I assume this should be the one. Considering 970 and 971E are both BPJ services also, 972 could also be.
Only wondering what the route of 972 would be?

This also relates to the announcement on a roadside terminal at Taman Jurong for this service. Wonder what the route would be for it. It should cover some of the industrial area around that is not covered by 79/246.
I feel they should have 972 start at BPJ loop at Sungei Kadut Dr.
BPJ -- Phoenix LRT -- Teck Whye Ave -- Tech Whye Crescent (no service on this road today) -- CCK Dr -- CCK Int -- CCK Way -- Sungei Kadut Dr (no service on this road until 925 merges). Will also serve HDB hubs around CCK Way that do not have a service today after 302.

They should number it 127 if it is really the case. It will be a wise decision on part of SBST to do that and make 27 as 27E.

78/79 weekend who cares. It is mainly a service to cater to the industrial areas. Are they working on a Sunday??
Also nor 183, nor 78/79 is a feeder.

That is a complete eyewash to the public then. Instead of upgrading sv 190 to DDs, you just get a new service 972 to please commuters with similar route??? Are you sure?

Ok... so seems like the downroutes that 190 does from BPJ to NBR are now going to be a new route...
Thomas, since you get all this credible information, enlighten us on when SMRT is going to get high capacity buses!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you talk like user SMB388S? It makes me doubt the credibility of your post.
May I ask if the credible bus fan has previously provided any other accurate info?
If it is true then really wish come true for me (and those who frequently take 27), which also means my suggestions didn't go to waste.

I am not sure if this information is right, but if it is... it will be a big relief to people who take sv 27 who have to stand all the way to Tampines.
Seriously, my suggestion to SBST for long has been to have 27 do HCI looping at Tampines Int and have 27E from HCI to Changi Airport.
They can deploy their WEGs on 27 and Citaros on 27E. But some suggestions just go unheard.
I hope 972 is not two trips in the morning and twp trips in the evening, ASS MRT is capable of that![]()

5-10 mins stand to tampines is torture??
have you tried standing on services 161,168,858 which is worser???
