of course.. u look at the no of buses that will be deployed? maximum 14 MAN A22 buses.... then u will see them keep on adding buses....... really dun understand why they dun let SBST operate 972 with DDs...
Possible high loading area from Bpj and Orchard. Will kapo mostly 190 loads
Heard the svc have no TQ/Splits shift...

That's why you see the bus going a big round inside the area. Ppl aren't going to choose MRT if 972 can reach their doorstep without transferring.

920 and 922's loads will be relieved by the introduction of Sv 972.

6:30pm : Svc972
6:35pm : svc920
6:40pm : svc972
6:45pm : svc922
6:50pm : svc972, svc920

Agreed. 972 parallels with 190/971E/700. All 4 goes by Orchard Road/Scotts Road. 3 of them goes by Stevens Road. I hope no more case of videos of a commuter missing 13 190 in a row

That one can board dw to board, plus driver didn't even ask passengers to move to the rear.

That's why I have been suggesting svc.960A which can at least be an alternative for Wlanders instead of having to cramp inside MRT everytime... If there's 960A, then no need for svc.972, cos 972 uses A22s, while 960A can use 960 fleet, with bendies even better...

Alright.. tks

Disagree. See 982E, up till now still 2 buses.

972 is meant to take away Bukit Panjang's load off 190, and is meant as a supplement service from the city towards Bukit Panjang.
I think 972 is also introduced keeping DTL in mind. If the route would be just BPJ to Orchard via 190 route or Petir road, it would have gone waste after DTL.
Since it loops around BPJ Ring road, it will serve as an additional feeder to BPJ and BPJ Ring Road and direct/fast service to city without people needing to take LRT/bus and transfer to DTL.
A good route I will say.

Cannot agree more!!

Agree BPJ too many services, but BPJ Ring road hardly any direct services. So good move! Need more direct service from BPJ Ring Road to CCK MRT also (BPS1 should be renumbered and made full day)

You could check my revised BPS1 and Feeder 921 (mainly for Bukit Panjang Ring Road) on Route Suggestions. BPS1 has an optional route section (if the route is to serve the future Bukit Panjang Hub). I'm not sure if this optional route section is needed, though...

Yes I saw both.
I think BPS1 can do the full ring route and go to CCK via Woodlands Road as you have outlined, maybe without calling at BPJ Ring Road (not needed as there are 920/922/972). So this service will be used mainly by those going to CCK MRT. I would also add a stop at Ten Mile Junction. I will renumber this route to 921.
Your 921 is good but not needed with introduction of 972 and considering BPS1 will be run full day.

So do you mean it should do the Ring Road or not?
created with inputs from other forumers at "Routes Suggestions", rerouting of sv 700 to CCK.
