Given that SMRT's MAN NL323Fs A22 are virtually silent when idle when sitting at the front half of the bus, and sound level's soft when it is driving/cruising, it's time to imagine how serene the front half of SMB388S "Mandy" bus will be like when idle and cruising. Maybe the first reaction by many if they board...

The hybrid bodywork sucks, the original one look better IMO.

If they really ever buy 150 A24s as expansion/replacement, at least have different bodywork for each batch.. like the O405Gs, not like the 1100 KUBs that looks almost the same.. so mundane...

I don't actually mind if they look the same, as long as it looks good and the interior is nice, unlike the KUBs. Should have followed the demonstrator.

it is not cost efficient for the operators to have different bodyworks cos they have to keep various stocks of the body work.... imagine 20 buses got one type of bodywork, so 150 buses got 7 different type? you might feel boring but does it really matter on the outlook of the buses as long as they can bring you to the destination?

Why didn't Gemilang or SMRT requested Gemilang to fixed those night lightings at the bottom side of the bus? :o Same for the front headlight(top) too.

...that Izzul Haziq (TIB868X in sgf) was caught by Certis Cisco security at Kranji Depot on the late afternoon of Monday, 15th April 2013. Apparently he was attempting to trespass or waiting outside the depot for SMB388S, whatever it was I heard that he was spotted loitering opposite the depot and was approached by the Certis Cisco guard and was said to be given a stern warning.
Not so squeaky clean now too, 868? -
