Currently in Bedok, there are 10 services that go to the west, ie. 7, 14, 30, 32, 33, 66, 196, 197, 506 & 608...compared to 3 services, ie. 10, 65 & 67 in Tampines...and none in Pasir Ris.Originally posted by orange_oceanz:Can anyone pls tell? Bedok buses has a very good east-west linkage, which Tampines and Pasir Ris lack of. I hope some of its buses can be ammend to Tampines.
You are wrong, Pasir Ris has no services going to the north (ie. Woodlands, Sembawang and Yishun), while Tampines has only 1 feeder service (292), compared to 2 (225 & 228.) in Bedok.Originally posted by |-|05|:cuz Pasir Ris has more buses going to the north..... while Tampines has alot of feeder buses

No, there is no service in Pasir Ris to bring you to Punggol, located in the North-East.Originally posted by |-|05|:oops sorry meant ponggol there....not sure if thats north or what.....but i think it is![]()

Yes, you are right. Bedok has all these east-west services mostly before the MRT goes there, and also, Bedok is the largest HDB town in the east.Originally posted by boy in blues:maybe its bcos bedok was da most eastern 'old' town b4 MRT..close 2 marine parade oso..but bedok until now no shoppin mall leh..

Pasir Ris has services 88 and 89 that brings you to Sengkang and Hougang but not Punggol.Originally posted by |-|05|:no meh??hmm....ok....
Ermm, previously Bedok is the largest HDB town in Singapore, right up till 1999 or 2000. Since then, Tampines has taken over its position in the number 1 spot. If my facts are right, Bedok and Woodlands are now tied at the 2nd place. But that is in terms of HDB dwelling units. If the landed housing and the condos as well as the private housing were to be included, Bedok would be the largest town in Singapore.Originally posted by tranquilice:Yes, you are right. Plus services 28 and 31.Originally posted by off_service:But Pasir Ris and Tampines have buses that provided fast links to Bedok,
017 from Pasir Ris to Bedok
018 from Tampines to Bedok
067 from Tampines to Bedok
069 from Tampines to Bedok
168 from Tampines to Bedok
I agree that Pasir Ris (PSR) is the town that is rather "under priviledged". That time when service 168 and 969 were launched, PSR residents complained of no direct links to Northern Singapore.
