Singapore Buses Chatbox (Part II)

  Hello from germany,

  I´m a 46 year old bus enthusiast from germany and I´m interested in Mercedes Benz and MAN buses worldwide. So I collect more than 35.000 Mercedes and about 30.000 MAN buses with datas of: owner, numberplate and chassis number. Now i found a big fleet of Mercedes and MAN buses in Singapore (SBS and SMRT). Does anybody have a list including the VIN-or chassisnumbers of these types??

  The records for SBS buses are updated till around 2009. But there are records for the older retired Mercedes buses and both MAN demonstrators (SBS81S and SBS8031J)

  Tell all of you, if you miss the old buses... Try these for a little bit of a nostalgic feel...

  Volvo B10M Mk2- Ride on LO3Xs or VO3Xs to hear the ZF whining.

  Mercedes Benz O405(WA/DM/DM CAC)- Ride on SMRT O405s for the loud acceleration engine sound.

  Scania N113CRB- Ride on MANs for the AWESOME turbocharger sound!

  Volvo B10M Mk3- Catch the few remaining DAFs left or the Voith MK4 DMs, all three share the Voith DIWA 381.4 gearboxes, that is... if you miss zee MK3s voith sounds...

  DAFs look like the voith versions of the Scania L113CRL Striders, except for the protruding front, different back window sizes and positions, and different side views of the bus.
