I am not sure if I can say this..this is what I observed and suspected so I put in this thread first.. SMB209B-SMB215H seem to be deployed on 172 on its respective off days..have observed this for a few months and for this week, this is what I observed: Sun: 209 on 172 Mon: 210 on 172, 209 not on off but on 172 Tues: 212 not on off but on 172 Wed: 212 on 172 Thu: 213 on 172 Exception of Tues as 211 was missing since its last appearance on 307 on Monday. Not sure if other users spotted it..so I am not sure if I can conclude these buses as 307/172, or its just that 172/307 buses are interchangeable but none of the 172 buses behave like this except maybe 103, 105 and 125..but not as frequent leh...or just pure coincidence that 172 always have missing buses that require the particular 307 bus that is on off? What u guys think?

Explanation simple, Both buses ONP at CCBP so the starters just switched the bus. 172 and 307 switch fleets. It is possible though. In Woodlands, Feeders buses that ONP at Woodlands kept switching fleets

Example: 1047S on 913, 1049L on 903, 999B on 911, 1179U on 913, 1181L on 903. All of these buses parked at WRI for ONP so i dont see anything weird about that. It is the same as seeing TIB740E on 172 or 927.

Also suspect 3621P perm 179. Is on 179 for the 5th consecutive week, doing A/P shift each time it's on the service. Moreover, it's still on 179 even during this week where it's NTU school holidays and no 179A. Not sure whether it's replacing one of the WEGs or a VO3x Batch 3.

maybe I thought too much bah..haha! anyway 214 is on off today but its on 307 driven by 211 drivers, 211 on the other hand spotted on 172...

Nothing new ah. In Woodlands, Yishun, Bukit Batok u will see buses that overnight parking at respective interchange everyday switch. It is rare to see feeder bus have full fleet perm except certain buses like 900/901. Everyday feeders got cameo one. So no big deal. At least the bus is still spotted on perm service rather SMB210X spotted on 172 for 10 days then another case. So ur case is just starters switching buses wich is common to see everyday.

Temporary replacement but not permanent, 283K will come back soon hopefully.

TIB738M (KJ/CCBP 307) to (KJ/CCBP 302/307) Think I saw the timetable stating that it will cross over to service 302 for one trip in the early morning before commencing on 307. Afternoon and evening remains unchanged. Under duty 307 S201...will observe again.. Edited: This is confirmed..alr posted on re-deployment thread..

Doubt it was even out, been taking 53 for the past few days and spotted this bus on the same slot, same BC. FYI, the ''replacement bus'' 6678 is still on 53..

I mentioned before that there was supposedly a S-shift fleet add for Sv 53 in the following week after 6678G & 6679D were spotted with Sv 53 perm stixs.
And up until now, I hadn't seen any other long-time cameos or new BSEP slots during Peak. So my guess is that 6036J might still be perm (have to check for perm stix again) and that one of the two (6678G or 6679D) is the fleet add instead.

Perm stix is usually a white sticker with the service number on it.

Sticker formats (new):
SV xxx - SV 168 for example
SPARE - Spare bus
Sticker formats (old):
xxx - 168 for example
SP - Spare bus

Depending on bus type/depot, the sticker can be anywhere, they can either be spotted at the front near the door (especially on BNDEP SDs), dashboard, coinbox, driver window area or upper deck front (some BNDEP DDs).

Note that sometimes the perm stix can be subsituted by cut out service guides (especially HGDEP buses), tape or sticker with the perm service number written on it, or just simply a number written on the front or dashboard (mostly on older buses).

1180P most of the time for AM side always on 187 everytime i go out on random days, PM side once a week. Perm SL is a friendly chap

Just rode it tdy mrng. It's duty 187 almost every Sat abt 10-11am hv this bus, the BC with his son aboard. Unfortunately 1180 was kind of jerky when changing to the 4th gear I guess..
