2601 agrees with smrtsbs's assessments.
74 and 147 no need DD.
These DD should go to 113 as fleet add making frequency 5 min.

Me agree also. 5 min for 113? Should make it 1 min.
There are really two guys who really dunno the joke that smrtsbs have created on 74 n 147. I
Someone obviously ignorant of svc 27 load patterns. The good freq for 27 is there for a reason..74 need to convert 5 SDs slot to DDs.Dunno where he go and observed all the buses?

Add one more in.
There are tons of planners and analysts in LTA/SBST/SMRTB and LTA got the whole loading data from their system for them to analyse, no need to go down to observe a few trips every day and then conclude this, conclude that. And then some disagree this some disagree that and then flame wars. Might as well join LTA if you question these planners. You can analyse all trips data, all day long until song song.
Oh that was what I pointed out a number of times already.
But its ok la....after all, cheng hu also wants bottom-up feedback mechanism.

hah...bottom-up feedback mechanism... depends on who is the one feedback and who is the one handling the feedback!
74 needs more DDs...

C'mon, be nice.
I was trying to give a positive spin to things.
From Jan 2013 onwards.
Capacity Increase by deploying DDs for SDs:
7, 13, 62 (+2), 72 (+3, not very sure), 79, 94, 154
Capacity Decrease by substituting DDs with SDs:
111, 157
Was speaking to a BC on svc 72. He mentioned that there are too many buses on svc 72 during evening peak at Tampines, that a bus leaves the interchange every 4-5 minutes. He said that earlier until Dec you could see long queues, and even more than 70-80 pax filling the bus but now it is not the case.
This was on my way to HG Int from YCK. So I don't know what the real picture at Tampines is, but want to go and see it, coz I myself remember how long the queue for svc 72 used to be during evening peak.
He is correct.
72's big problem is that its evening peak from Tampines is actually below 5 min frequency.
But evening off-peak after 7pm is atrocious when the crowds are actually still streaming in.
And the most infuriating part is when SD comes after waiting for 20 min.
And worse when the bus actually CRAWLS.
I still vote 72 as one of the worst examples of inefficiencies. As has been the case for many years already.
It takes 45 minutes from Tamp Int to HG Swimming Complex.
By contrast, taking MRT to Pasir Ris and then switching to 88 actually takes only 35 minutes.
Food for thought.

To add to your point, the BC did tell me that earlier they had to drive very slowly on Tampines Road to match the timing, but now he said the run time has been adjusted. Also, earlier there would be a lot of loading issue on Tampines Ave 6 and BC had to ask people to move in to get people in, causing delays. With improved frequency, not an issue anymore.
Is the travel time still 45 mins or is this from your past year's experience?
Today Citaro on 291 load cannot make it sia.Kubs are way better.Dunno what the hell SBST buy so much for what?

Should have gone mass B7RLE instead-_- But they are useful on the low demand svcs though...
Think more for the sake of Low floor

Citaro good for services like 116, 123. But it is getting used for high loading services 87, 88, 168 and I just don't understand. Can't take more than 60 pax and for cramming 70 pax, BC has to really shout passengers to move to the rear.
