The loading pattern on weekends is quite different compared to weekdays.
I see many services like svc 7, 143 to be fully packed on weekends because it travels through Botanic Gardens / Orchard (7) & Orchard / Chinatown (143) compared to their loading on weekdays.
This thread is to spot observations, difference in loading or suggestions for bus operations on weekends.
Usual services such as 67, 190 and 960 I've seen to be more packed on weekends but usually around morning till late afternoon. Even sometimes 171 can have good loads on weekends
May I suggest a 960A from woodlands interchange to little india mrt? just as with 67W

What does the "W" stand for 67W, why is it not 67B?
My thoughts: There is not much difference between 960's routing starting at Marina Center and Woodlands Interchange - it might as well do its full loop as many pax board at Bugis. Unless 960A is fleet addition or crossover.

Not sure what W is for. There was once a 67C, not sure about a 67B existing before. 67W should be renumbered to 67B from CCK to Little India and 67C from Tampines to Little India
W stands for weekend i believe, although it's not in operation on saturdays.
Then 401 should also have 401W as it is operated only on weekends / public holidays

Same goes to 700A, 853C, 925C, 961C… end up no proper prefix one..
Trans Island Bus Svs…
SMRT should change it now la... Need to get away from TIBS era... but doesn't look like they will... still going to get bendies... ha ha ha ha

i think that's a leftover from SBS
700A is a non-RapidBus of 700 operating aft 1900 on weekdays, aft 1300 on saturdays not just only on sundays.
853C, 925C and 961C operates only on sundays and public holidays
67W is SWT
700A does not head towards Shenton Way (700 does)
853C extends 853 from Lor 1 Geylang Ter.
961C extends into Marina Centre (961 does not)
925C does not head into CCK Int but heads towards Sg. Buloh Nature Reserve.
EDIT: Suffix not Prefix
854E (Suffix)
SS7 (Prefix)

messy ...
but yeah the bus service 853, 925 and 961 shows their bus route for sunday and PH but the number shows as per normal (i.e. 853, 925 and 961)
U must understand that weekends/PHs svc usually reduce buses mah

925C can renumbered 924,961C redundant. There should be 171A operate from 23.45-0015 from YIS to BPJ.857A terminate at Suntec,858B Woodlands terminate at Airport and 966A Woodlands to Marine Parade
Should just have different suffixing.
T for Terminating for instance 966T or 55T when they terminate at Marine Parade or Siglap during midnight hours
A, B for short working trips such as 159A
M for modified routes such as 70M, 162M. Even 179A should be 179M or 179 Express according to me. 179A is not a shortworking route because it does the entire distance.
Remove all the Cs and Ws ~ confusing.

925C 923; shares the same berth as 925
but
171A? night service?
857A not needed
858B not feasible; who's going to the Airport after 2350?

Cs are fine there can be route with 3 SWTs
if 179A 179e, a lot will complain; it is not a fast-forward svc and should not charge Express fares.
another problem
173A, 189A, 859A are SWT within the same estates

Agree. 179E will not work, 179M is more appropriate.
Another suffix could be X
853X - when it is eXtended on particular days.
C should be there only if A and B are already used.
853 Geylang Lor 1 Ter
vs
853 Upp East Coast Road
and
925 Choa Chu Kang
Int/MRT/LRT
vs
925 Kranji dam

The problem is, Tibs era 700A, 925C etc are considered alternate rts…
I dun think 925 has any leftover from SBS era… It used to be 204 & 208.
As far as I know, when 67 was handed over to Tibs, the ‘A’ wasn’t used yet.. it was the special blue colour desto…
853C, 925C and 961C are alternate routes on Sundays and PH
925 = 204 + 208
desto are no longer used, hence the different suffix are added to 67

858B is for before 22.45 buses heading and terminating at T2 Airport to prevent confuse at T3,T1 pax. Also good for split shift ending at Airport if Amdep decide to take a few duties
67 better this way 67A CCK-Little India and 67B TAM-Little India
B & C lo like that
