Sure got space.Beside Mandai there's planning to build a bus park at West Coast/Pandan Gdn dunno it's true or not
If built then good because it is quite far for BBT service to go KJ refuel and come back BBT for ONP

AMDEP need a change urgently and WLDEP shld control SEBP. It is far to go back to AM than WL for refuel and then ONP. AM can control majority part of YIS and YIBP and most of the CBD SMRT svc
If 970 goes AMDEP it would really be a waste of time if they practice late starters.

True. AM is the nearest to Shenton Way. It can follow the route of buses like 70,162,130,133 to Shenton Way for early first bus

I do have a feeling 70 162 130 133 do practice late starters on sundays/PH. Can anyone confirm? Not sure with SBST's style of doing things though.
For SMRT, yes 106 961 does practice that.
when there is only3 depots, there is NO perfect solution for the deployment of buses.. why worry so much for SMRT? they deploy 176 from WLDEP or KJDEP will affect you ppl? No mah.. as long as the buses come on time can already. every time i see so many opinion from this and that saying that the distance from this depot to ter/int is very long..and SMRT should deploy this sv from here and not there... if it is really so easy, then why dun you ppl go apply job with SMRT and go do the deployment? .what can SMRT do to solve it? ask them go build one depot at Marina Bay?
Even SBST with so many depots are also facing issue with the deployments.... There is no perfect solution at all.

Please clarify what you mean by late starters, if not i will assume that its A/P shift starting later than usual.
70M: 2 buses start at suntec back to YCK at 0600 & 0621 are AM shift
130: 2 buses start at shenton way 0600 & 0615 are AM shift.
133: 3 buses start at Esplanade to AMK at 0600 0616 0632 are 2 AM, 1 split; while first bus from Shenton at 0630 is AM shift.
162M: no buses start in town. the downroutes start at macritchie reservoir to yck at 0600 0614 0628 0642 0656 0709, 5 AM shift, 1 split shift.
considering the timing that they start from town, i personally do not think they qualify as late starters as the timing seems normal to me.

Given this scenario looks the other two depots won't get any buses anytime soon...
I can tell that because AMDEP aren't taking any MANs, they decided to throw their duties to WLDEP to improve WAB standards.
Looks like the 3 full duties (07, 08 and 09) for 980 are heading back to WLDEP/WLBP this weekend. The first 6 full duties will still stick to AMDEP.
246T and 247R might be going back to WLDEP as well.

isnt this deployment because of the bus park?
if the bus park really has no maintenance facilities, then would'nt WLDEP buses start to get crappier?
That bus park is meant for newer buses beside the overcrowding at Wldep.Its just a stone throw away from Wldep.After refueling,Open coinbox and bus wash buses that assign to park there would head straight from Wldep.Prefer the new bus park built beside Amdep though
