I would prefer mixed in AMK contract area.. SMRT and SBST together or 3?
In sg, competition means higher prices .

*Hougang & Sembawang to remain with current operators while all other sectos be put up for competitive tender
Pls lah. Which private operators wants to come in when it is so difficult to raise fare n hit the service standard? If private operators come in you will see those made in china buses.
Further sbstransit just bought so many new buses ? So wan them to sell away these buses if their routes are transfer out?
Last time they say wan to amend the routes. In the end they spend few years doing proposal n analysing n only amend 76 315 n 410.
they could further improve the loading for existing bus routes and have more spare buses. the spare buses could be needed for bridging services
Doesn't make sense to me. I think SBS transit services are very good already and I don't see point of giving AMK hub to another transport company when they are already doing so well with good and new fleet of buses.
On the other hand, I feel some SMRT services should also be handed over to SBST as SMRT cannot cope up with its existing fleet and increasing demand.
Those 2 will surely stayed as public transport provider no matter what.Private co not interested in full day basic svc,Manpower one issue.Fleets depots etc?Theyre interested in premium or express svc only

I agree with you.I don`t see why there is a need of handing some bus services and interchanges to private bus operators. If private bus opreators, operate, then it will be a disaster because all the bus services will be in mess and people will get confuse.I think LTA should just let SBSTransit and SMRT run the public transport system. It`s better this way.On the other hand, SBSTransit and SMRT buses are much more better and comfortable than private bus operators buses.

Because they buy Citaro, Wright and Lion City Hybrid. Tender will force SBST to dump KUB if they want to win tender. SBST also have to buy bendy for feeder~ Early retire all creepy KUB~

Agree. SBS Transit is doing very good. As for SMRT I would rather some of their services to be transferred to SBS or private operators so they can focus on their remaining services as well as the chartered shuttles.

SHUT UP LAH!CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT SBSTRANSIT WILL NEVER BUY BENDY BUSES BECAUSE LAST TIME,ONCE SBSTRANSIT USE BENDY,THE TRIAL FALIED AND SBSTRANSIT DECIDED TO BUY DOUBLEDECK BUS AND NOT BENDY BUSES ,UNDERSTAND!!!

Agree with you,SMRT should hand some services to SBSTransit because some of bus services cannot cope with the normal 12m bus and bendy buses.SBSTransit can deploy some DD buses to the services that cannot cope with the normal 12m bus and bendy buses.
The 3rd operator will be Woodlands Transport?
