Probably some routine maintenance of buses? Anyway, off topic a bit.. the HDB flats at Jurong West Street 91, 92 (market area) and 93 will be re-painted to another colour soon! Finally, after being in red or orange for around thirty years since they were constructed, they are finally changing colour... personally, it is going to be something new for me, who grow up seeing the red/orange flats everyday...

Is it a norm for SMRT trunk routes that loop around an interchange / a road to display the looping point as the destination on their bus service display? Are the displays always consistent? Consider services 173, 177, 180, 858, 965 as the interchange group, and 189, 857, 962, 964, 966, 972, 975, 983, 990 as the non-interchange group.
For the non-interchange group: I stay near Bt Batok, and always see 189 and 990 displaying "Bukit Batok" as the destination, instead of "Clementi Ave 1" or "Jurong East", when I pass by the interchange. 983 shows "Choa Chu Kang", I believe. In contrast, 966 displays "Marine Parade" and 972 displays "Bencoolen St" while outbound. Not too sure about the rest.

Nope... Service 966 is the only service currently that has interchange & looping point configure together where BCs only need to key in 966 code, not need to change direction 1 or 2...
It'll show "Woodlands Int via......" then automatically to "Marine Parade via......" and back to "Woodlands Int via......" continuously. So far, only see 966 no need to change directional code...
However, 966 data has 2 automatic formats, some show "Marine Parade (Loop)" & some are "Marine Parade"...
