Both need DDs to resolve the problem.
From where did you get this number of 16 services? Some press release?

A great idea that nobody seems to have discovered...instead of writing to LTA, just write to the MP...but I wonder if it will work.
Would like to recommend use of DDs for 269A and introduce 315A
DDs will operate in AM from Ave 4 to MRT and in PM from MRT to Ave 5, then go off service and start service from MRT again. This will help ease the queues at AMK Interchange.
Introduce 315A. Bus will terminate at Serangoon North Ave 1 and will go off service via YCK road to start again from interchange. In AM downroutes from Serangoon North Ave 1 to MRT.
Is there restriction to enter Alps Ave... just like you can't enter the cargo area when you are onboard 9/19/89... I want to take 35 but not sure if they will allow me to enter Alps ave.. Let me know if you guys are aware.

You can joyride 35 through ALPS Ave.
Alps Avenue no problem even if you wish to alight there.
This (9 August 2015) evening, at Boon Lay Bus Interchange, I saw that there was a massive crowd for one (or a few) bus services. It's even larger than the crowd for 243 G/W during weekday evening.
Comment: In my opinion, I feel that Joo Koon Bus Interchange and Fairprice Hub has limited effectiveness in alleviating the massive crowd at Jurong Point, unless NTUC allows non-members to buy things at the 'Warehouse Club' supermarket in Fairprice Hub. (Actually, that would be a win-win for both the consumer and the company)
Suggestion: I wanted to suggest relocating all bus services serving the industrial areas to Joo Koon Bus Interchange. However, if we do not address the needs of the people concerned, they will still come to Jurong Point, for the two supermarkets there.
Last week, in the morning around 7am at Boon Lay Bus Interchange, I saw that there was a large crowd at the end-on berths. One of the queue even extended to the shopping area of Boon Lay MRT Station.
Suggestion: The LTA should introduce one-way bus services that connect the industrial areas of Jurong and Tuas to the HDB towns (eg. Bedok, Bishan, Bukit Batok, etcetera.), operating only during weekday peak periods, with at least two trips per peak period.

that end on berth should be 198...

Well, I guess the bus services are 252, 254, ...
198 is mainly in Jurong West Avenue 2 and 1, then ply AYE to Bukit Merah, from Jurong Town Hall Road. The links it provide should be the intra-town connections within Jurong, connection to Jurong Point, and direct bus connection from Jurong West to Queenstown area.
Queenstown is more accessible to Jurong West by MRT, including from Avenue 1. If possible, we can split 198 at Jurong East Bus Interchange. But the capacity is limited. Well, that's why there's 198A while 198 remains a long route to Queenstown.
I guess the long queue for 198 at Jurong Point in the morning is made up of people going to the landmarks at Jurong West Avenue 1.
If there is a demand on 198, 187, 157 for bus connection between Jurong Point and Jurong West Street 41, 42, 51, 52, Avenue 1, we can consider having feeder routes of around 6-7km (each) doing a big loop from Jurong Point to that area and back. Maybe one for Street 42-Avenue 1, one for Avenue 1-Street 41-Street 51-Street 52-Avenue 1... Well, whichever is the shortest route. Using the end-on berths if possible.
Yeah!! We really need a place that we can put everything together.

Service 198 goes to Bukit Merah Interchange
JRL Line will get extended to West Coast.. so basically in few years from now Singapore will be another Tokyo... with a huge mesh of rail lines.
Consider loading on 30/51/143/176 to drop significantly along this sector once the MRT route is up and running.
