What are the new buses that you would like to see on Singapore Roads in the near future?
For myself, i would like to see:
Transbus Enviro 500 Trident Neoplan Centroliner

i would like to see a Dennis Condor 3-axle double-deck bus with
Duple Metsec bodywork

I would like to see buses that are serviced, not smoky, not jerky and give you a smooth ride.

Single decks:
Die-Die Must Have --> The SCANIA OmniCIty Series and Mercedes Benz Citaro Series
Can Also Lah --> Van Hool AGG Series or MAN LowFloors
Boring If See More of These --> Any Volvo products including B10BLE or B7 or anything Volvo
Double Decks:
Die-Die Must Have --> Scania K94UB, Neoplan Centroliner and MAN 24.310
Can Also Lah --> Enviro Tridents, Tridents with updated Volgren CR222LD body or Wright bodywork
Boring If See More of These -->Volvo Super Olympians unless SBST let these buses as it is in the original configuration

and some merc electric motor bus.
scania CNG also nice
a few transbus tridents perhaps and some neoplaners will be fine

As you can tell I love Scania buses a lot. -

More mercedes and like to see some new brands on the road .
As far as I concerned , we have too many volvo buses from SBS and Mercedes from Tibs . Its nice to see a change for example , sbs buying more mercedes and Tibs buying volvo buses . -
I must admit that I am biased towards Volvo buses. I find that I like their quiet engines and comfortable ride.
I've noticed that the old Mercedes single deck bus has a weird smell coming out from the air conditioning system. I think it's time these buses were phased out. Hell, they were in service since I was in Primary 2! -

When those fleet of non-air-con SBST MB 0405 were converted to air-con, there's really a weird smell coming out from the air-con duct, so during that time I always avoid those CAC buses if possible, but now it has improved a lot.Originally posted by pkchukiss:I must admit that I am biased towards Volvo buses. Hmm.... for me, I would like to see some of the following buses on Singapore roads:
Single decks:
Scania L94UA (Wright Body), Scania L94UB (Volgren Body), Volvo B12BLE, Mercedes Citaro, Mercedes Citaro G
Double decks:
Scania K94UB (Volgren Body Preferred), Dennis Trident Transbus Enviro 500, Neoplan Centroliner
Regarding to if SBST could buy more MB Buses and TIBS buying Volvo buses, I think it might not be possible. This is because SBST is 'part of' Volvo, and therefore SBST would put VOLVO as the top priority brand when they buy in more buses; and TIBS would buy in more MB Buses as most of the drivers, and even the company itself, think that MB is a much more reliable brand.
Rachie, the MB O.405 is out of production already. However I hope that TIBS would buy in buses, such as the MB Citaro, or the Citaro G. They are really cool buses!
Lastly, I hope that SBST would really consider of engaging contracts with Transbus Dennis, or Scania SAAB, to buy buses such as the Dennis Trident Transbus Enviro 500, or the Scania L94UB and K94UB. -
I had always want a Neoplan Centroliner, a MAN 24.310, an Enviro 500. As for single decks, no particular prefence but do hope that SBST will have say, another 10 articulated buses.
