I think malaysia one is cheap but no good. some bus service can drop you anywhere and never follow the bus route, because they said has traffic jam or the service time is up.

This branch line is just behind Damai,Oasis & Kadaloor stn. Any idea if this line will be realised in future or has the plan been abandoned?
I think there is no Punggol LRT extension. From what I see in the URA plans, there is no extension planned, but instead NEL line will be extended to Punggol North in future (just one additional stop).

also many times i read rego number and tell which bus it is. i was more popular when bus didnt have back eds. my friends/family shocked when they turn back and see i tell correct number. they ask how and wud think i am magician. now with back eds i can only tell for old buses.

But I suppose the route back then is between Queen Street and Kranji MRT Stn, isn't it? It is only recently the EDS started to show 170A ending at Woodlands Train Checkpoint...

i think it have been operating between queen st and woodland centre for quite some time. and saw many times that those 170A buses switch EDS to 170 (larkin) immediately at woodland train checkpoint and continue its journey to JB... maybe to cater to the check point crowd..
RD6066L, SBST's Higer KLQ6129GQH2 "GreenLite" Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus that was jointly developed by Higer, Tsinghua University and Nanyang Technological University had been towed out of NTU's premises as of yesterday. It is unknown where is it headed to.

im by no means an electronics expert, but to have such a system will have its technical and financial complications.
its not just simply a case of 'put sensors at junctions that will relay info to buses' as how ibtimes has put it; rather, you need to factorise in the immense cost required to equip all buses (yes, all buses in singapore) with this system.
ontop of installation costs, factor in maintenance costs over the long run for both vehicle-side and junction-side equipment. technicalities aside, would this be a venture that the LTA would take up in a bid to remove accidents? thats where 'money sense' comes in.
