hahaha true
talking abt 825, what do you think its fleet will change with GCM? currently using minibuses under SMRT, i wonder if it would change in the near future or only until when it could be handed over to another operator, or not change at all if it is still by SMRT?

825 should be included into Seletar package in place of 851.

Service 2 also can say orphan route since SBST is the anchor operator of CVT/NBR.
Go-Ahead only joint control with SBST for Changi Airport
Route 82 has changed operators 4 times, which is the most to date.

SBS,TIBS,SBST & Go-Ahead.
The Duple Metsec body kits used on the B10Ms and O405s was known as the R Series (not to be confused with Walter Alexander's Type R). DM bodied Atlanteans carried W Series.
Route 103 changed operators 3 times
SBS, TIBS and SBS Transit

197 was because it used to termimate at Geylang Lorong 1. Same for 9. 66 Scania OAC fleet went over to 67 after the depot change. Back then BN and HG same region.

And yet 67 got an operator change.

SBS and Ministry of Communications wanted to break up into packages such as - Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bishan, Boon Lay-Joo Koon, Bukit Batok, Bukit Merah, Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Eunos-Geylang, Hougang, Jurong East-Bulim, Pasir Ris, Punggol, Sembawang, Sengkang, Serangoon, Tampines, Toa Payoh, Woodlands and Yishun in 1989.
61 was the only lonely route from SMRT at Bukit Batok.
117 was the only lonely route from SBST at Sembawang.
Citaro has the most breakdown rates among all operators..reasons?
smaller engine but got too many restriction tweaking,Original bus is meant for Europe climate but fitted with AC which require more pulling power which i see it did not materialise instead.LTA should opt for the 12L version(OC engine) or simply convert to ZF 6 speed.
IIRC the OM906 series engines are also fitted on the CBC1725.
Originally posted by iveco:IIRC the OM906 series engines are also fitted on the CBC1725.
Difference is one got no restriction with a top speed of over 100kmh while the ither got 1st gear acceleration and top speed restriction,Go figure out.
SG5999 acceleration seems only restricted at 1st gear only,2nd gear powerful leh,Better than SMRT A95.Maybe because of additional weight and length.

i still wonder why is 859 being controlled by AMDEP when it is looping at Yishun Int that time. note even SEBP was initially controlled by AMDEP (AMDEP/SEBP) then (WLDEP/SEBP). 882 also changed from AMDEP to WLDEP and back

It was later, around 2003 or 2004.
Timeline of depot control for 502?
There used to be a bus service 578 which runs between Compassvale Street and Orchard/Suntec City, looping at Orchard Road.
This service was launched in 2007, but was withdrawn in 2009.
The routing is as follows,
Compassvale Street, Punggol Road, Sengkang East Avenue, Sengkang West Avenue, Fernvale Lane, Sengkang West Road, Yio Chu Kang Road, (CTE, Moulmein Road, Newton Road, Scotts Road), Orchard Road, Bras Basah Road, Temasek Boulevard, (Rochor Road, Rochor Canal Road, Bukit Timah Road, CTE), Yio Chu Kang Road, Sengkang West Road, Fernvale Lane, Sengkang West Avenue, Sengkang East Avenue, Punggol Road, Compassvale Street.
*() denotes express sector.
Undeniably, this route could have received high loading.
Unfortunately, the service was only in operation from 10am to 4:30pm on weekdays, and from 10am to 10pm on weekends and public holiday.
As the operating hours were outside peak hours, the service missed the peak hour loading and was withdrawn just two years after introduction.
Amidst the continual discussion about a possible new bus service between Sengkang and the Central Business District, I feel that we could consider reinstating this route, to run between Compassvale Bus Interchange and the Central Business District.
This time round, we could have the bus service operate during peak hours only.
Also to note is the bus fare, which was $3.60 for adults and $1 for children.
If we could charge the same distance fares as city direct bus services (around $2.40), and operate the service during peak hours only, I believe this service would be well-received by the people living in Sengkang.
