anyone seen SBS1688K lately? nowadays 1688 slot on sv84 kept replaced by mk4 bus.
TIB490B? It has always turned up for 178TQ01 without fail every saturdays.

I suspect SBS1688K might have been laid up together with the MK4 batch that is deregistering in Jan 2015...

When is the last time it was spotted on either 852 or 856? By right I thought it may be laid up around this period of time but it was still on service...then it may be true though.

Great! SBS1688K is back on sv84 again!!! its on sv tdy. hope it gets lifespan extension.

i think the bus was on long mc only previously. now its well again. till date there is still no news on lifespan extension which i am hoping for.

I saw it back on 84 since 17 Oct (when I went there on 14 Oct it was still replaced by a cameo bus, so it may have been back on 15 or 16).
Lifespan extension for it is hard to say, the bus hasn't been quite reliable.
SBS1688K when it was still with 163, I remember it was very unstable. Always on MIA status and replaced by a random MK4 back then. This bus was finally removed from 163 in Aug 2012 and replaced by a DD.

Don't think it's on its usual timings anymore then. Today 674M's usual timings during AM Peak replaced by 1444G.

Go read the accidents thread...TIB1203H caught fire on 21st August near Bukit Panjang Temporary Bus Park.
But speaking of this, SMRT seems to be lagging in laying up this bus alongside TIB609C back in September...and now so many O405s got laid up while this bus is still free.
As for the reason it is not spotted on the roads, I guess SMRT might want to deal this bus like 1130J case; lay up for half a year to repair then send for refurbishment and put back on the roads after it was out of lay up...
