SMRT Buses purchases MAN A22 buses (Part 2)

  Maybe SMRT will trial for one 3 door bus as I wrote to SMRT via fb. The third door ca be controlled by the BC as mentioned by a user. If SMRT trial for a 2 staircase and 3 door DD, the 2nd staircase can be use for coming Down while the 1st can be used for going up. The MAN Lion City DD can be converted into a MAN Lion City DD Bendy.(Is it possible? Coz hope got one leh.)

  Press release from MAN stated additional 200 buses, which makes a total of 400 buses. Unless MAN made a mistake which is highly impossible.

  Nope. There is still a month and 5 days till its lay up expiry date which is 10 November 2013.

  What i'm guessing is this:

  SMB189A - SMB354P (166 buses)
  SMB3001M - SMB3034T (34 buses) which add up to 200 of Batch 1... while

  SMB1301K - maybe SMB1434K (134 buses)
  SMB3035R - maybe SMB3100K (66 buses) which add up to 200 of Batch 2... 

  so, maybe these are the 400 A22s?

  Would want them order another 100 buses to make it 500 since it is BSEP pay de.

  If they want to order 100 more with the BSEP funds I hope they choose something better such as the MB OC500LE, MAN Lion's City LE or MAN 18.280. At least the money would be better spent than buying more MAN NL323Fs.

  Infact BSEP should be intro earlier...like that more capacity buses[OCs/KUBs] would be brought in
