I prefer they buy Vanhool or Volvo B8RLE

B8RLE with Soon Chow bodywork like 8030L will be really nice. Vanhool buses maybe not possible for the time being.
Vanhool I thought use MAN engines.

MAN and Dennis buses are good... MAN has good acceleration and smoother rides while Dennis buses have good horsepower which is good for inclines and long-distance routes...

It depends on the engine type used, so I wouldn't say the MAN has good acceleration and smooth rides, while Dennis buses have good horsepower. Maybe SMRT could consider the Enviro 300 (2 door version, currently only single door version exist AFAIK) with either Cummins, MAN, Volvo or Scania engines.

Why MAN A22 currently kept having sudden jerk when the bus stop/start accelerating??

By saying Good acceleration I am trying to say that the bus can accelerate to 60km/h within a short amount of time.

I know, but I'm asking you another question, rather unrelated to most of your words there :x

So I'm actually not the only one who noticed. =.=
SMRT buy MAN buses because it is a government linked company and the supplier of MAN bus is STK also a government linked company, like brother and sister in one family, get things done faster and cheaper. Also we tax payer paid for them.

SMB189A - SMB354P (166 buses)
SMB3001M - SMB3034T (34 buses) which add up to 200 of Batch 1... whileSMB1301K - maybe SMB1434K (134 buses)
SMB3035R - maybe SMB3100K (66 buses) which add up to 200 of Batch 2...so, maybe these are the 400 A22s?
Still not enough to cover all, Seriously the big problem lies with AMDEP who up til now doesn't make any effort to take in any of it.
Let's hope they get the Citaro C2 and hope things can go better.

Even SMB138Y also if I m not wrong...Most driver, including the SBS Transit ones, couldn't like stop the jerk. But I have saw some China driver controlling it, and it was eventually(or rather) better...

Do you know how the China BCs do it?

Not quite sure, but I've experience some rides on certain China BCs, and their driving performance on MAN[for my trip] was great. There's slight jerk if I'm not wrong, but not as much as the usual one[we experience].
Even if the driver drives slowly, the jerk don't seems to be able to be prevented :/

The jerking occur came from the speed limiter thus making the 6 speed gearbox change gear from 1-3 abruptly.Correct me if im wrong and sometimes if the driver dragging to have better speed the 5th gear hunt too long even though the speedo alrdy show 60

I'm not sure whether SMRT will continue with SMB1400H onwards because there'll be a special MAN to be registered soon... It might jump to another series of rego again... For example, SMB425T, if they make a 'comeback' on MB O405 regos...
Special as in bodywork or configuration?

Different SMRT livery...
So still Lion head eh?I heard rumours there will be a trial for A22 younger bro 7litre version one but dunno true or not...
Coming March also heard that few MK1 bendies would be scrap to make way for new high capacity buses

Still the same bodywork, but its a silver/metallic grey SMRT MAN A22...
Maybe it could be that bus... lol... So its more powerful?
Dunno ah bro,A22 already too powerful for a citybus..Maybe if its true the 7 litre version is more towards cost saving for road tax and insurance?
Some sort like last year i own a 1000cc sportsbike then i downgrade to a naked 400cc and save me at least 40% on money despite loss more power..Last few years i own a Starlet GT 1.3 & Stream 1.8 but now Saga 1.3 & proton exora 1.6turbo mpv i save a lot on road tax, insurance and of course maintenance
