Too bad you cannot read others' minds...I do not count in BSEP buses at all!!!

All CACs indeed receive lifespan extensions but that's back in 2012-2013, they are given 2 years extension...only 35 CACs got another 6 months lifespan extension in September 2014.

I have done the calculations and found out that 107 OACs are now deregistered... There are also four OACs and CACs laid-up, so the number of O405s left running on the roads is 197 (excluding the 15 Volgren units). There are 287 Batch 1 and 2 non-BSEP MANs now, which did replace some of the retired O405s from July 2013. If we trace the number of Batch 2 MANs registered from July 2013 when they started to replace the O405s, the number of Batch 2 MANs registered from August is 42. So the number of Batch 3 MANs replacing the other retired O405s is 65.
There are 89 units of Batch 3 MANs registered currently, which means that there are now a total of 376 MANs registered on the roads now... When the 332 Batch 3 MANs are all registered, you would have 619 non-BSEP MANs. This is a sharp increase from the original 308 units of the O405s.
Note that I did not include BSEP MANs. Gus.chong means the number of non-BSEP MANs registered is higher than the number of the O405s getting deregistered...

so the Lances/DAF/Scania L113/Hino are replaced by? further 332 units of batch 3 MAN consist of BSEP as well..

Yeah, these other models were also replaced by the Batch 1/2 MANs. Sorry, I thought that the 332 Batch 3 MANs did not include BSEP units... They didn't mention it in the press release.
Just to follow up on lemon1974's post, if we add up the number of DAFs, Hinos and Lances retired, there are 140 buses now deregistered. If we add up the number of these buses retired to the number of retired O405s, we will have 251 buses. So, if we find the number of extra MANs (the total 376), we will have about 125 extra buses...

What is going on with the BSEP Batch 3 MANs? There have been so many MAN fleet adds even though no Batch 3 MANs have been registered. This way, if ADLs are used to upgrade the MANs so much (and the MANs in turn used to fleet add other services), LTA needs to buy more ADLs and not MANs.
e.g SMB3103C was fleet add on service 302 (ex-190 perm).
57 spare MANs, 61 spare WAB buses altogether.

I guess they want to upgrade those Trunk services which needs the enhancement(s) urgently, and redeploy those "kicked out" MAN A22s to Feeders and Intra-Towns.
What I think: The 120 BSEP A22s will start to register after the 98 BSEP E500s are being delivered and settled in their respective depots / bus park(s).

Beside A22,SMRT should consider Scania N280UB too,Totally different character from its brother K230,Took it once in Australia,Pick up damm good and less vibration..Spare parts shouldnt be a problem cause theres a handful of agents dealing with Scania

Think at this rate of registration all MAN NL323Fs will be registered by June next year...1/3 of the fleet was registered over a period of 4 months...by then SMRT may began to place orders for new buses.

Like Germany's BVG operator, it brought in a Scania Omnicity bendy with their new full yellow livery recently, totally stunningly nice & sporty... Their plan with Scania to also build BVG's custom Omnicity DD...
