Wait until all 332 MAN buses in this order are registered to determine the exact number of non-BSEP MANs...I originally feel there will be more Enviro500s than MANs in this order; why would SMRT need so many MANs for BSEP purposes when there are spares?

BC say u believe? they are under a different and separate purchase?
I dont understand why they need so much of A22s when theyre in dire straight for DDs

Think SMRT should stop buying rigid buses once the order for these 332 buses is completed...

Actually the last 100 odd units can change to A95s instead,Still same manufacturer and most to most just top up the remainings..
Those MAN NL323F (Batch 3) buses with Voith Transmission are still under Batch 3. Unless you have got evidence(s) that SMRT purchased another batch of MAN NL323F buses - which I hope SMRT will not do in the future.
What most Bus Captains' mentioned about the MAN NL323F (Batch 4), may be their own "definition" of the MAN NL323F (Batch 3) buses with Voith transmission.
As for the 332 MAN NL323F (Batch 3) buses.. Supposedly they annonuced that there are 212 MAN NL323F (Batch 3) buses - bought by SMRT, and 120 MAN NL323F (BSEP Batch 3) buses - bought by LTA. Unexpectedly, there are more Production Batch buses being registered, which currently makes up to 221 MAN NL323F (Batch 3) being registered as SMRT's Production Batch buses.
Its either LTA changed its mind, by "upgrading" the MAN NL323F (BSEP Batch 3) buses to Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (BSEP Batch 1)* or SMRT bought some units from LTA..

* Please do not try to rename the SgWiki page Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (BSEP) to Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (BSEP Batch 1), unless LTA purchased another batch of the Enviro500 buses.
I actually pondered over whether the news saying that SMRT is buying only 103 Enviro500s is a reliable source, or probably the number of BSEP buses in this order has been increased from 218 to an unknown number...

Can u show me the press release saying that Lta have purchase 120 A22 n 98 E500?
there are already excess BSEP E500. Dun think they need so many BSEP one
If i remember correctly, it was stated in the newspapers that 201 DDs, will be 103 SMRTs, 98 BSEPs...
Press release also never say mah. Straits time zao bao n today article also never mention of the figure of 98/120

But still, from past cases, it has been shown that the figures of BSEP buses in an order can be subjected to changes...

Like how SMB3115T and SMB3116R got registered unknowingly, when (we thought that) they have ended the registering of the MAN NL323F (BSEP Batch 2) buses at SMB3114X..
EDIT: My mistake. SMB3115T and SMB3116R are the additional ones.

Huh? It was known to stop at 3116R, not 3113Z...

SMB3114X - SMB3116R were 'extra buses' LTA funded under BSEP

Only SMB3115T and SMB3116R are extra buses; there are 202 buses in the second batch of MAN ordered; 2 more than the original 200 buses ordered.
SMB1626Z >> WPDEP SP (on 187 today)

No official press release on this figure at all. In March 2014 some Facebook grp post that Smrt have order 103 ADL. Then April SMRT announce that they have order 201 DD. So some ppl start saying that the additional 98 are unde BSEP. But in the first place no one from smrt have say that they have order 103 initially.
SMB1568H is confirmed voith already by more than 1 person who rode it..
So SGWiki states 1582 onwards voith is wrong.. maybe some buses before 1582 alr has the voith gearbox just that no one discovered it yet (1579 cfm ZF tho)...
