Don't know what is tha Batch 3 order for MAN A22 BSEP... but if it is only 40 units... then these might be kept in reserve for KJ for future BPJ service to BPJ town of Cashew/Chestnut... or upgrading 177 to full day service.. No idea
Could be also few for 983... but with DTL2 opening 983 should be majority DD fleet.
3138C to 3150R still sleeping in WPDEP plus some others regoless MAN parked side by side after 3134M to 3137E left to KJ
Originally posted by Gus.chong:This is precisely what I have meant. But as of now, only BSEP buses registered before July 2015 are affected and due for transfer, those registered in/after July 2015 should serve as their replacements...shouldn't it be the case?
most likely to be smaller amount, but still too excessive when A95s and E500s should be the priority.
Oh yeah what's the update on SMB138Y? Still at GML?

I would love to see 138Y retrofitted with rear window instead and use back for revenue svc.
Delivery of MAN A22 buses (probably BSEP ones) is still ongoing. Some 10+ newly painted buses are seen at WPDEP..

These MANs do not have registration plates up yet, I suppose?

time for a new SMRT service....

If I can recall, one new service is for Yishun...but I would have expected that the batches of BSEP A22s will no longer be 4 at one round given the transfer of A22s to TT...
Heard got new MANs at KJ Depot
SMB138Y has been rebodied to a Lion's City Hybrid bodywork, spotted in Sydney for Carbridge.
(According to BIS & PTH Wordpress)
can confirm. bus is in grey livery with big BYD logos , suspected to be converted to parallel hybrid using BYD motor. chassis number has been checked and is same. the interesting thing is the interior is SMRT spec, so either GML just reuse parts or SMRT initially wanted to buy back but then reject (idk)

Let's hope all get registered in bulks of 10-15 over the next two months.

Slightly OT, but I have not been seeing anymore NL323F delivering to SMRT anymore (unpainted buses obviously). Probably the delivery of BSEP units are coming to an end.. The MAN A95s are doing their paintjobs and paper work way swifter than what they have done to the NL323Fs.
Hope those new A22s goes to the new operators..

That's what made me curious. Looking at PTSG wordpress, notice that they mention transition to GCM and SG prefix for all the buses Wright, Citaro and Enviro but not the MAN. MAN article got no section about transition to GCM. only have one weird section where it says govt owned MAN A22 then it say SMB138Y.

Probably they have just not updated it yet. SMB138Y is probably a placeholder that they used to fill up the "registration" cell under "Government-owned MAN A22". SMB138Y is listed itself up there as MCV bodied demo in the same table, and we all know it is now in Australia anyway. Don't read too much into it.

But the question is, where are the new MANs with white front white back SG plate? There don't seem to be any. Enviro I can understand cos all 201 in. But MAN leh? There's still so many with SMB31xx plates, as SMB315C said. Why these get SMB31xx plates and not SGxxxx?

It's LTA decision..perhaps they could be taking some from the newer batch?

If the NL323Fs were to be unpainted, it'll be entirely unpainted (i guess judging from how "precise" SMRT schedule for the entire bus to be painted)..
It is very likely that Tower Transit will use the older buses (SMB300x series to SMB308x series) judging from how they have redeployed the AMDEP BSEP NL323F buses.
