I don't get it... why is AMDEP / BRBP replacing its KUBs with Citaros. This seems to have become the new trend for AMDEP / BRBP management.

Maybe to show off their new Citaros, probably next time they will change back again.
If I'm not wrong, the Citaro is only 11.95m in length and is shorter for loading, so that's the only reason I thought for now.
Lol... this Kubs replaced not even more than 10 years yet still can even replace them with new buses somemore whereas other depots still using this DM/STRIDERs lor . ![]()

It's down to the ease of deploying SP buses for the depot ops. Compared to Citaros, practically all the BCs in AM/BR are familiar with how to drive the KUBs given their much larger numbers than the Citaros. On the other hand, not many BCs other than those svcs with alr-perm Citaros (Sv 24, 70, 72, 53 etc) are familiar with driving Citaros. This is also the reason why you see those SP Citaros in AM/BR all along sticking to those svcs with alr-perm Citaros more often than other svcs~
So if the starter wants to deploy a SP bus to replace another MIA bus, the KUB is easier to deploy out because the BCs are more familiar with it than the Citaros.
So they rather take out the KUBs from their respective perms to SP, than to face a restricted number of svcs to deploy their SP Citaros when the need arises.

No, cannot determine this way. look whether is perm stix gets torn off or have its guides removed for confirmation. Anyway if you might not have noticed, AM kubs that turn into spare gets its rear lamps changed to the clear type just like 8820 n 8823.

They might want to use 9298 until the end. 9409 and 9377 can be redeployed.
