  Anyway, the DDs for Sv 81 are all still there. The B9TL cameos (Wright or CDGE) are replacing random MIA Sv 81 buses, be it SDs or DDs. No fixed timings so far for those cameos. 

  Talking about B9TL cameo, 3100B is on Sv 81 today. It's like an everyday occurence alr.

  I agree with your post. At most Sv 81 needs is just 1 SD-to-DD conversion, or add 1 DD more. No longer need to have majority DD fleet  for Sv 81 like it used to have many years ago..
  
  And to those who aren't sure for Sv 81, the DDs are actually deployed to start from Tampines at specific timings to meet the Peak crowds at specific timings also along the route.

  I don't find any need to leave these Volvo Olympians on the roads for an additional six months except for majority of those that were under SLBP, after all new Wrights are in the process of replacing them.

  I guess having extension rather than not is better for SBST. Can deploy as SP wherever needed as they are available. Also, helps them to beef up the capacity of services without really thinking twice.

  I mean SBS Transit can consider giving extensions to most of the Volvo Olympians from SLBP and straightly de-register the rest of Volvo Olympians from other depots. After all it is only 6 months left, there's no point deploying as spare.

  As for SLBP itself, JIS it is totally different as the starter seems to prefer older buses from the trend given, there is no problem with replacing those SLBP trunk services' Volvo Olympians with Wrights and using those Volvo Olympians for JIS, at least there is still a year for these buses to remain on these services (up to December 2014), and the DD fleet of those services will be majority or wholly made up of Wrights.
