So where is the proof that EWL is the most reliable with no news of disruptions in the past 2 years?

Ok fine. I second that. Yes there are disruptions on the EWL, but those only caused delays. NEL ones caused a catastrophic situation. And yes, SBST had quite poor management of the situation. If they can't even take care of one line, don't think of taking care of others. Same for SMRT buses.

BTW, a bit of history....the only time the trains banged into each other and caused multiple injuries occured on EWL.
If that wasn't catastrophic by comparison then I have no idea what is. It was one-off, sure, but it was one too often, though thankfully it remained one-off...
Quite frankly I think both operators do quite poorly as far as train breakdown is concerned. But it also has to do with the inability of the system to self-regulate with little redundancies in place *looks at LTA*.

I stated the recent years. History is not recent.
Maybe SMRT should take the future lines and SBST should take SMRT's buses. All clear.

some ppl ar... if you were at S'goon, you would realise no matter how messy 15 Dec was... the mess at S'goon was the worst... some buses even had to use exit door to conduct boarding ops.. while at the same time ppl refused to let ppl onboard to alight to begin with. what has ppl gone to? and may I know... how come there's sort of stalkers around... only appear to post rebuts to clamp down on ppl's comments as well...

and for ppl who still do not get it.. not surprising as ppl commented why 116's routing at Nex is like that... please do some analysis on the evening peak hour bus, other vehicle and pedestrian movement in this area... which is why I was not surprised abt the mess at S'goon Central bus stop in particular... and luckily 116 used the other bus stop...
