380 buses of the 550 from the 3rd batch are registered as of now. That makes 170 more units to go.

Batch 3 consists of 565 units. The additional 15 units were reflected in the recent 415-bus order press release.
After the award of 150 Volvo B9TL double-deck buses in 2009, 300 double-deck buses in 2010, and a further 565 double deck buses in 2012/2013, Volvo Buses has now secured a further order for 415 Volvo B9TL double deck buses.

I believe it was a mistake. The total number of Wrights reflected in the press release is 1,415 (150 + 300 + 550 + 415), but when I did the calculation reflected in the press release (150 + 300 + 565 + 415), it added up to 1,430.

The mistake lies in the Volvo press release. Take a look at Wrightbus'...
This latest contract, which is due for delivery between 2015 and 2017, follows in the footsteps of three previous orders which have already seen a total of 1,015 similar vehicles enter service with SBS Transit since 2010. Deliveries of the first tranche of 150 vehicles were completed in September 2011, followed by 300 more in January 2013 and a further 565 which will be fully in service by 2015.
Together with Volvo, we already have an extensive aftermarket organisation in place which will be further expanded to ensure that all the 1,430 vehicles which will be on the road by 2017 are fully supported to SBS Transit’s exacting standards.

Whether Batch 3 + BSEP Batch 2 consists of 550 or 565 buses altogether, we will know by around mid-2015...

Voith actually can accelerate very fast, but jerkier when braking and the engine easily becomes loud... ZF got better acceleration overall and a nicer engine sound.

With SBST notorious low end tightened rules where got so fast?
They say that Voith got faster initial pickup, then can accelerate faster... But I think ZF helps to improve the acceleration throughout and can also go quite fast if the BC boost along the way. I would say Voith works with Citaros, but not these Wrights... Wrights should get ZF instead, Citaros can stay with Voith.

New bus spotted on service 243W yesterday (3 September 2014) at 3:12pm, with license plate [SBS 3835P]. Here's a picture of the upper deck, taken at the bus stop outside Pioneer Secondary School:

With extra restriction for the low end torque it make the buses struggle to gain faster pick up..Gearbox is not an issue..Even some MK3s also can accelerate faster than any ZF MKIVs..Previously the king of pickup belongs to Scania N113CRB but after SBST restrict the low end for safety purpose its quite bad and tiring for e drivers especially full loads
Look under the Batch 1 category for 'Additional Specifications' here:

I'm not sure if this info on the Voith giving faster pickup is correct...

BNDEP has taken so many BSEP WEGs but has not deployed nearly 10 of them.. For the moment, should at least give 2 more WEGs to sv 20 to cope with the AM crowd.

Anyway, nowadays I take the newer Batch 3 Voith Wrights, all got squeaky brakes so fast... Seriously very funny to have squeaky brakes so quickly after introduction. Even some Batch 2B Wrights (LECIP EDS, SBS3000G - SBS3238M and SBS3269Z) starting to have squeaky brakes... Strangely, this issue is very rare on the older ZF Wrights...
