means LTA stupid again lor... look at svcs like 101, 103, 109 that need more DDs and those empty DDs on 46, 102 and 117
103 right now need another 2 split shift DDs.

If economy really was a problem 46/47 wouldnt have gotten DDs... And svcs like 61 wouldnt have existed till today...
I would disagree over the quote "services like 61 wouldn't have existed till today...".
Sure, Service 61 could be split up and reorganised into separate services, with the sectors experiencing weaker demands deleted. However, it still provides critical and heavily utilised connections along numerous sectors of its route, such as between Bukit Batok and NP/SIM and also being the only service serving the south loop of Commonwealth Dr.

Cant imagine you all being on social media... Probably will misread satirical articles as actual news... Haiyo
But to say that "our dear govt have a sea of reserves to spend" is completely false. Just correcting your dangerous misconception, which nobody would put it in a satirical article because it sounds too absurd to be even in there.

122 can be enhanced to cover Tanglin Halt estate too. Current route to Queensway, then Commonwealth Ave, Commonwealth Dr (South), Queensway, then resume current route from Commonwealth Dr (North).
61 can simply become a BBT-Tanglin Halt loop service. 970 can cover the Queensway-Chinatown portion.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Tanglin Halt estate is going to go soon for redevelopment and the flats there will be demolished in future just like what happened in Ghim Moh.
In future 61 may just ply Commonwealth Ave as there maybe no flats there.

Yes, some will be demolished by 2021 and others by 2024, except for the SIT blocks which I believe are protected or privately owned. Never say "never". We don't know what future land use will look like as we move into more mix-used development. So there may be some public housing in the mix in the future.
As for 61, the demolitions will be done in phases, so it may continue to ply that stretch for a while.

Hi mr sbs7557R, I know you meant well but at least must have an existing service amended to cover weaker demands instead of totally deleting it off. Cheers. Thanks.

I agree 102 needs a DD downgrade from 4 to 3 Wrights. Weekdays around 8-830am, the upper deck from Sengkang to Jln Kayu are usually empty. 103 too really needs more DD.

That's not the peak direction of 102. 102 is surprisingly doing v well and is serving as a good intratown between Upper Serangoon - Buangkok - Compassvale - Sengkang East/West. Notably upper deck is also getting well used these days.

I don't know - just referring to peak hour loading. Loading is better than sv 85 along Sengkang West/East Way.
sv 85 typically gets a peak loading of 50-65 pax during peak.
sv 102 typically gets 70-80 pax between Sengkang MRT and Sengkang West Way, get 50-60 pax between Sengkang Wes/East way to Sengkang MRT, 50-60 pax between Buangkok MRT and Buangkok Dr.
No bus goes to Sengkang West Way frm Sengkang. 85 is a bit off anyway (right?) so nobody is going to walk a long distance than to take 102
I dont know about Buangkok though

Explain how SG5389J ended up in BBDEP.

Think he meant that the B9TLs for SMRT would park at WPDEP. Not that SG5389J is in WPDEP
SG5069-5084 at Lydep...The most cost saving depot in SG for now with only 2 brands to maintain only..
SG5391B & SG5392Z both on 147/147A from BB ?

If they die die stick to 147 then they are very likely from BB. If they run around often on other HG/BB dual services, they are more likely from HG.
Someone alr spotted SG5391B on 147 last week. So high chance they are from BB.
Unless you can confirm by spotting them on a single depot service.
