Nvm,Feeders and Intratowns use Citaro,OC,A24 and B9TL while trunk/express use A22/A95/E500

Not a bad idea actl. Anyway B9 seating arrangement is good for short haul since its longitudinal bench seating

Anyway SMRT has 5 feeders and 2 intratowns lesser this year..So only focused on Woodlands and CCK feeders/Intratowns.

As I had mentioned earlier, LTA bought only 176 B9TLs, of which 160 had already been registered. For SBS Transit's July 2014 order of 415 B9TLs, there is 117 left to be registered. So essentially there are still 133 B9TLs left to be registered.

Firstly, I am of the opinion that this got something to do with the respective assembly rate of B9TLs and A95s. Given that Hougang Bus Assembly had become familarised with the building of B9TLs, it's unsurprising that they would have produced it at a fast rate, having more than enough B9TLs that not even SBS Transit needs all of them (especially when LTA bought 176 more B9TLs).
On the other hand, the Batch 3 A95s appeared to have a different exterior design (I have not yet boarded the Batch 3s yet so I don't know about the interior). Furthermore, the A95s aren't assembled in Singapore unlike the B9TLs...for the former, it would definitely takes much more time for them to come as compared to the latter. Given that SMRT needs high capacity buses urgently, they just simply assign all of them to SMRT for now...but whether this means that they would do something to the A95s is still another question to be left to another occasion though.

Now that it is clear that B9s would be to stay in SMRT fleet I strongly advocate for LTA to throw in some SMRT fleets to SBST and GA too.. Otherwise they aren't gonna be ready to deal w future bus packages

But again depending on these two companies also..Taking in MAN or ADL meaning extra training and extra parts to be bought...Unless LTA die2 standardised all operators to maintain USB equipped buses.I shall not talk much cause there are lot of spies here..

Uh so...? If SMRT could do it why can't the rest?
LTA has alr made fleet mixing a non-issue. So no problem here. That's not an excuse for SBST and GA.

Who knows? Maybe the B9TLs are just a temporary measure...don't forget LTA has the discretion to randomly assign buses...

I don't believe so, there's just too many of them alr.. Its too late now..
Its impossible to root out all SMRT B9s at this point..
Given so let's make the best of it and let others play fair too..

It is only a matter of time before all buses come with charging ports.

Don't worry, the lobbyists are already on it. But expect the three other operators to resist strongly.
AFAIK Transperth distributes its new fleet evenly. Anything less, and the age old accusations of favoritism will come from different lobbyists.
It is ironic that because the fleet is now largely standardized, all operators are now resorting to EDS programming to score points under GCM (and who else would suggest such a criteria other than bus lobbyists).

But Claremont has no B7Rs or gassies. only diesel NHs.

Though point taken. That is what every operator wants anyway (including TT and GA).

I can tell u GAS and SBST would reject MAN or ADL buses..They would just stick to B9TL and Citaro until LTA force them

1382 has always been a Welshpool bus, hasn't it.
Actually LTA can fit those Batch 4 SG B9TL with USB and A95 type of wing mirrors.

Oh sure and you think they will? LTA has always been bochup bout these kind of things.. All inherit SBST style one
Thats why I'm more than happy if they cut ties with Volvo for good.. Their buses aren't the best anyway. Btw have not even heard of a single Volvo bus that has been fitted w USB anywhere in the world, unless somebody knows one? Shows just how backward Volvo is, tsktsk..

Damn sure! Remove Volvo all u like my dear lobbyists! No regrets.
And three to five years later, someone else is going to cry "remove all MANs"!

They can but dont want to.
After the this batch no more B9TLs.

But you won't hear me cry "remove all the Scanias".
