As on 02/06/2003:
Service 854:
TIB 1147 L using the new Vogelsitez seats. As far as I remembered, TIB 1148 J is the first bus to have such seats.
Service 25:
SBS 9821 P having an overall LG advertisement.
Service 859:
TIB 969 M operates on service 859 instead of the usual service 961.
Can't be, last time I took 1147L, the seats are of the older seats. (e.g. TIB 1038 T)Originally posted by SBS9816E:Hmm... Regarding to TIb 1147 L, perhaps it might already got its seats changed, or the seats have already installed on the bus.

The next main reason is the deployment of VSO on service 25. Newer buses always get ads faster.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Hmm, why do Sv. 25 VSOs get advertisements so fast? Possibly advertisers find this route attractive as it passes through housing estates through much of its journey.
Advertisement on service 143 may not be appropriate on service 25 as they serve different areas. (143 via commercial district while 25 via housing towns)Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:I wonder why does 25's VSO gets the advertisment before others , high class route ? Why dont they throw one of the VSOs with advertisment on 143 ( I saw one of the LOs without advertisment ) . Does the advertiser pay for the route ?

Where have the Scania on service 178 gone to?Originally posted by off_service:Today is a rather shocking day. Tibs service 965 used 2 Nissan Diesels, TIB 364 and TIB 365 E and one Lance 245 TIB 927 J.
Nissan Diesels are also out in full force on service 178 and 187.
Surprising and not surprising. Not surprising as I had anticipated this years ago after the first Mk2/Mk3, O405 & N113 was refurbished. Surprising as I expect this only to be done some time next year. However this is a good news, considering that the 90XX/91XX/72XX/92XX seats are the worst on a bus in Singapore, IMO. We shall see the 72XX as well as the 92XX Superbuses to be refurbished soon.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I have an interesting find, SBS 9188J of Sv. 88 has new seats, the type found on CAC O405s. Scanias are still on the service. However, a couple of them have been replaced by the UDs.Originally posted by tranquilice:Where have the Scania on service 178 gone to?
Yes, all seats have been refurbished, don't know about the air-conditioning ducts though. However I know there is STILL no standing room.Originally posted by Superbus:Surprising and not surprising. Just a side query, in other words the lower deck parallel seats above the 2nd and 3rd axle is of the new type too right?
Cheers and warm regards

I guess some buses are under maintainence or something... But UD on a expressway service...Originally posted by Rachel_Lim:Oh my bussie goodness ! Nissan Diesels on Service 965 ??? Is the depot despatcher madThey dont go fast on expressways
*wonders in shock how the 4 bus drivers on duty for these two buses go according to their schedule and scratches her head*
Service 965 only travel a short stretch of the expressway (IMO), compared to services 858 and 969 on the same expressway. So, UD on service 965 is ok for a temporary period.Originally posted by Rachel_Lim:Oh my bussie goodness ! Nissan Diesels on Service 965 ??? Well, I see nothing wrong with U31RCNs on highways, they do seem powerful Japanese buses.Originally posted by off_service:I guess some buses are under maintainence or something... But UD on a expressway service...
Just like deploying nissan diesel on Express 520.
