Yesterday's sightings:Originally posted by TropicalSQ744:TIB975U spotted on 980 at Novena around 2pm today
I suppose that the sv 124 Mk 4 was getting some sorta 'maintenance' over at S'goon Int. Some other buses like sv 70 and sv 159 do come into S'goon Int to get some sorta 'maintenance'.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Yesterday's sightings:SBS 9802U along Orchard Rd outside Dhoby Ghaut MRT station with Sv. 133 desto.
Sv. 124 DM-bodied B10M Mk IV parked at S'goon Int.

Last Sunday, while I was on a bus, saw another TIBS bus with destination 166 on it.
It was a fleeting glance however.
There were route details on the EDS. However I didn't really see it.Originally posted by SBS9818A:What?? I tried playing with the EDS when I visited TIBS WLDEP, I managed to display 282 but only the service number came out. Maybe the driver mistakenly pressed and out it came?
Yes, possible you could have seen the desto as 169, the poor driver must be so accustomed to driving on Sv. 169, that's why by instinct he presses the code for the service.Originally posted by BluBlur:There were route details on the EDS. However I didn't really see it.
It's on TIB 1079A. Maybe the driver really pressed wrongly, as this bus is on 169 lately.
Service 857 runs on an almost full bendy fleet on ALL sundays (not just today). Check back on Monday and you will see that the whole 857 fleet have gone back to 12m buses.Originally posted by off_service:After the service amendments...Service 106 is still using alot of Habit Buses.
Service 111 is still using Volvo buses.
Services 97 and 502 are now full Leyland Olympian 3 axles fleet. Service 502 has Mercedes too.
Service 81 is full Volvo Olympian 3 axles fleet.
Oddly enough, service 857 is somehow like full Bendy fleet.
2 ex service 106 Habit Buses are spotted on services 169 (TIB 1096) and 980 (TIB 1093).
Service 86's single deckers are all MK4 DM.
Some ex HGDEP buses have been transferred to BNDEP.
Just a few Sundays ago service 857 used very little Bendy Buses, only 3 to 4.Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:Service 857 runs on an almost full bendy fleet on ALL sundays (not just today). Check back on Monday and you will see that the whole 857 fleet have gone back to 12m buses.
Perhaps the changes today helped 857 achieve an almost full bendy fleet. But I can 99% guarantee you that tomorrow the whole 857 fleet will go back to 12m busesOriginally posted by off_service:Just a few Sundays ago service 857 used very little Bendy Buses, only 3 to 4.
I live near Yishun too. For now, only some days I see 1 or 2 Bendy Bus on sv 857 (most recent sighting- last week with TIB 1041 H) and more during weekends.Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:Perhaps the changes today helped 857 achieve an almost full bendy fleet. Evil.
Me too. The load on 857 certainly does warrant some bendies for quite some time already. And now that 857 is the only TIBS service that runs the full length of Serangoon Road between Sungei Rd and Jalan TPY, more reasons for them to do so.Originally posted by off_service:I live near Yishun too. I hope there will be Bendies on sv 857 during weekdays, at least during peak hours.
You left out Sembawang. It's so long and the bus network is rather bad. Deeper into the neighbourhood and you can find no bus in there.Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:Me too. But I doubt they will.
As you can plainly see, I am quite a disgruntled and dis-satisfied customer of TIBS from Yishun. And I hate TIBS's favouritsm on Woodlands, CCK and BBT.
Yeah.. Sembawang is the worst. I used to stay there until I was 10 years old. The bus services deteriorated constantly. 160, 161, 164, 167, 169 with 4 services going downtown. Now left only 160 (980) and 167 that are actually services that are useful. The rest are just "token, duplicated and not really useful" services to "hopefully show people that TIBS is taking care of Sembawang". They failed.Originally posted by off_service:You left out Sembawang. It's so long and the bus network is rather bad. Deeper into the neighbourhood and you can find no bus in there.
Airbus330Captain saw SBS 9035 S on sv 168 at around 12 noon arriving at Bedok. However, the bus captain is taking out the service plate. Does this imply that service 168 may get double deckers (hopefully VO 3 axles) from BNDEP?Originally posted by Superbus:28th July 2003...
- 3 VO Superbuses operating on Service 291; 9355T, 9353Z and 9234 (thanks to Charles for the rego of the 2nd & 3rd VO)
- 9195M replaced 9846T on Service 168
- 1181H on Service 964
Cheers and warm regards
Looks like Sv. 111 is now fully controlled by BBDEP, from the Volvo fleet. The abovementioned Sv. 86 is FULLY controlled by HGDEP, thus not suprising to see DM Mk IV buses. As I predicted Sv. 502 and Sv. 97 are now solely controlled by SLBP.Originally posted by off_service:After the service amendments...Service 106 is still using alot of Habit Buses.

AFAIK SBS 9035S is a BRAM/AMDEP bus, isn't it? Unless Sv. 168 is controlled by both AMDEP and BNDEP it would be unlikely, although 3-axle VOs could operate on the service, as AMDEP has some, but unfortunately they are all allocated to Sv. 88.Originally posted by off_service:Airbus330Captain saw SBS 9035 S on sv 168 at around 12 noon arriving at Bedok. I think 9035S is a BNDEP service. Was seen going around BNDEP services.Originally posted by SBS9818A:AFAIK SBS 9035S is a BRAM/AMDEP bus, isn't it?
