Not only that.......after deploying DAFs on PIE for a few months, TIBS probably found them to be good, fast and reliable enough to warrant TIB721 on svc 190 today

If I'm not wrong, this bus is now perm on 154. I had also seen SBS155 on 154, but not sure whether it is perm. I also observe a significant decrease in number of 2 axle VOs on 154. SLBP may have also started to deploy more Superbuses on 154. BTW, yesterday (3 Nov), I saw a CAC DM Mk II in old livery on 154. Service 90 does not have any AC buses at all and yet SBS calims it to be a PAC service. Rego nos 3604 3606 3614 3615 3616 3623 (NAC).
While service 8 have brunched up buses with empty double deck buses serving, it service 8 having a high demand at Tampines side there? -
Today sightings: SBS 755G on Sv. 124, shocked to see it. ARBP bus. TIB 960L, TIB 529A in Bishan Int again with "FERRY SERVICE" EDS at 7+ am. SBS 2788Z back on Sv. 105

i dun really think it's a high demand service in tampines... it duplicates the route of 18 and 38 until about tampines ave 1 where it now duplicates the route of 23 until before bedok reservoir rd where it now duplicates the route of 65 until ubi ave 2 and 22 until paya lebar rd... after that there are exactly 3 bus-stops along macpherson rd where it is the only bus serving these stops from tampines before it starts duplicating 65 again along macpherson and then 31 from jln toa payoh... besides 8 plying tampines and toa payoh, there's also 28 and 31 too, but i guess consumers wld rather take the MRT cos it will be much faster than these 3 services...
in conclusion, i think there's too much route duplication from tampines to toa payoh... but i think 8 primarily provides pple in toa payoh a link to places like bedok reservoir rd... it might be better for 8 or 28 or 31 to be extended to bishan since the link from bishan to the eastern region is pretty poor apart from the packed 88... -
Not only that, service 8 duplicates with 90 all the way to Toa Payoh from Macpherson Road.
Service 90 has overloading trip during afternoon peak, did anymore notice about this service?
All buses serving 90 are 3604, 3605, 3606, 3613, 3614, 3615, 3616, 3621, 3623 all NAC buses -
The 3 bus stops along Macpherson Road does have service 90 to Toa Payoh , please check your bus guide information.
Service 90 serves from Toa Payoh to RSAF PLAB daily as a non aircon service. -
These are the buses on weekdays. It seems that on weekends (including Saturdays), service 90 is full air-con even. Usually on weekends service 90 uses Alex O405s and CAC Scanias. Yes, Bishan is very very poorly linked to the East. The only service we have over here is indeed, the packed like hell Sv. 88 with O405s unable to cope with the load. Yes, THREE services from TPY - Tampz is really overkill. besides 8 plying tampines and toa payoh, there's also 28 and 31 too, but i guess consumers wld rather take the MRT cos it will be much faster than these 3 services...

A TIBS Nissan Diesel Training Bus was seen at Siglap Road/Upper East Coast Road junction at 2.45pm. Likely doing training for drivers of a future TIBS service from Woodlands to Siglap Link.

Service 8 has brunched up buses with 2-3 mins frequency during AM off peak with even empty DD buses. Curretnly, to Toa Payoh from Bedok Reservior Road has service 506, that's where most of 506 passengers to Toa Payoh comes from, so extending 8 to Bishan may use this route: Macpherson Road, Upp Aljunied Road, Upp Serangoon Road (To serve Joo Seng Residents to Potong Pasir MRT Stn (Nearest MRT Stn), Jln Toa Payoh, Lor 6, Lor 4 Toa Payoh, Braddell Road, Bishan.
Also 8 need not be extended, as 8 duplicates with many services. Also Bedok Reservior Areas have service 55 to Bishan, why didn't your thought of that?
Yesterday I took service 90, I was standing on the steps from Macperson Road all the way to Toa Payoh, the bus was overloaded! Even the bus was NAC, rego no 3613.
You may want to know that SV 90 has very high demand from RSAF PLAB during afternoon peak espically after 1800 (Bus stop opposite POSBank)
