Funny. Looks like the Volgren Lances are going anywhere but on Sv. 851 today.Originally posted by off_service:Thursday, 30 October 2003TIB 1018 B on service 852
SBS 31 L on service 8
Number of double decks on service 168 seems to have decreased.
Eh hey... is that the Tetra advertisement? It has blue and yellow colours on the ad. It's SBS 9820 S. It's original Pichonkun Advertisement has already been taken off.Originally posted by Superbus:The 5th VSO with all-over ad on Service 25. Rego not identified.
Cheers and warm regards
Hmm, that's quite fast.Originally posted by SBS9816E:Eh hey... is that the Tetra advertisement? It has blue and yellow colours on the ad. It's SBS 9820 S. It's original Pichonkun Advertisement has already been taken off.
As what Darryl said earlier, that is fast indeed.Originally posted by SBS9816E:Eh hey... is that the Tetra advertisement? It has blue and yellow colours on the ad. It's SBS 9820 S. It's original Pichonkun Advertisement has already been taken off.

I posted my message on 31 OCTOBER 2003. Looks like you need a stronger pair of glasses.Originally posted by SBS9810X:Excuse me,i saw TIB 1017 D on 851 on 1/11/03.
Sv. 154 getting more Merc O405s lately. Today I had a very rare sighting!Originally posted by Zilchster:SBS 167D is on Svc 154...this bus was from 502 I think
If I'm not wrong, this bus is now perm on 154. I had also seen SBS155 on 154, but not sure whether it is perm. I also observe a significant decrease in number of 2 axle VOs on 154. SLBP may have also started to deploy more Superbuses on 154. BTW, yesterday (3 Nov), I saw a CAC DM Mk II in old livery on 154. It may be from either HGDEP or SLBP.Originally posted by Zilchster:SBS 167D is on Svc 154...this bus was from 502 I think
i dun really think it's a high demand service in tampines... it duplicates the route of 18 and 38 until about tampines ave 1 where it now duplicates the route of 23 until before bedok reservoir rd where it now duplicates the route of 65 until ubi ave 2 and 22 until paya lebar rd... after that there are exactly 3 bus-stops along macpherson rd where it is the only bus serving these stops from tampines before it starts duplicating 65 again along macpherson and then 31 from jln toa payoh... (all these services are available from tampines and provide an equally or more direct route to these places)Originally posted by th1988:While service 8 have brunched up buses with empty double deck buses serving, it service 8 having a high demand at Tampines side there?
These are the buses on weekdays. It seems that on weekends (including Saturdays), service 90 is full air-con even. Usually on weekends service 90 uses Alex O405s and CAC Scanias. However, there was once when a DM CAC O405 and an OAC Scania (SBS72) were deployed on 90.Originally posted by th1988:Service 90 does not have any AC buses at all and yet SBS calims it to be a PAC service. Yes, Bishan is very very poorly linked to the East. The only service we have over here is indeed, the packed like hell Sv. 88 with O405s unable to cope with the load. Yes, THREE services from TPY - Tampz is really overkill. Logically speaking, Sv. 28 might be a candidate for extension as it plies Braddell Rd, although it would pretty much duplicate Sv. 13.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:i dun really think it's a high demand service in tampines... it duplicates the route of 18 and 38 until about tampines ave 1 where it now duplicates the route of 23 until before bedok reservoir rd where it now duplicates the route of 65 until ubi ave 2 and 22 until paya lebar rd... after that there are exactly 3 bus-stops along macpherson rd where it is the only bus serving these stops from tampines before it starts duplicating 65 again along macpherson and then 31 from jln toa payoh... besides 8 plying tampines and toa payoh, there's also 28 and 31 too, but i guess consumers wld rather take the MRT cos it will be much faster than these 3 services...
in conclusion, i think there's too much route duplication from tampines to toa payoh... but i think 8 primarily provides pple in toa payoh a link to places like bedok reservoir rd... it might be better for 8 or 28 or 31 to be extended to bishan since the link from bishan to the eastern region is pretty poor apart from the packed 88...
