I think LTA should stop toying with premium service for the public. remove this non standing rule and let people have proper express bus service to the cbd or other area where there is demand. what premium if nobody care about it, that base on the news report so i think it a bit crazy to impose non standing rule on premium service. i think if it is premium then sbst or smrt should use coach buses instead of normal public bus. just like taxi using limo cars like Mercedes Cab or else what is call premium service? at least PTE bus company using coach for premium service

Private companies using coach for premium services? So using those china made bus are considering as coach??????? SMRT trial one China made bus n u guys give such bad reviews but private operator using the same buses u say it is high class coach?
there are premium service n city direct services now for PPl to choose from major towns. U can choose more to get a seat or u can pay lesser to stand on the city direct services for 45-60 mins all the way to town with no chance of getting a seat at all.

those china buses are actually coach. coach and public bus is different design. there is no such thing as high class coach. coach bus does not have space for standing. if you taken a coach to malaysia before you will know. that why lta do not allow people stand in coach. but sbst and smrt seems to blur this line by using public bus as they do not have any coach bus.

how to compare those private companies made in china buses, against those malaysia 26 seaters coach with reclining seat? those private operator buses are simply buses without any standing space.. they are NOT Coach.....do not upgrade them just because there are no standing space...
and who say those private operators buses cant allow standing?

Trivia:
The 2 Premium 761 buses will go on to Esplanade Bridge, Connaught Dr, Fullerton Rd, Collyer Quay, etc to return to Shenton Way bus terminal. -
I think Premium should have at least 2 trips running..Those current 3-4 trips should have 1 add trip also..Good for svc using sole Citaro/KUB.

Certain Premium services load patterns have changed due to the following reasons:
1. More MRT stations opening
2. Introduction of more WAB buses which has reduced the sitting capacity of certain services.
3. Premium 535,536,549,560,563 may have a chance of being upgraded to double decker service or with an additional trip.
For additional trips, SBST has already done for 533,538,539,543,544,545,548,549,550,554,761

Premium 564 has 2 assigned buses, with different groups of passengers, SBST will be loathed to cut down to just 1 bus on any working day.
