SBS603L and SBS831U were de-registered upon their end of statutory lifespan despite being laid up due to mishaps.
SBS9104B's accident is on 9th May 2010, laid up and eventually de-registered on 24th September 2010.
Somemore to add:
SBS867S - laid up due to a collision with coach at Compassvale Drive on 6th December 2011 and de-registered on 2nd May 2012; one month before its end of 19 years' lifespan.
By the way, the title never indicates that only buses with accidents can be listed among those de-registered before the end of lifespans, I suppose there should be more.
The laid up smuggling bus at WDLCHKPT.

But de-registered at end of 18 years' statutory lifespan.
Oh
TIB1110S caught fire outside Opp. HLH Tyre while on svc.903...
TIB931X, TIB936S, TIB941S, TIB1004R - all these lances caught fire in the early 00s and were ripped off in just 2-3 years of service.
Basically all the lance fleets from SMRT were laid up and deregistered even before reaching 15 years.

And even all of the Hinos, some Nissan U31RCNs and ELBOs were de-registered when they were only reaching 13 to 15 years of their lifespans.

Oh thanks!
Maybe SMRT buses are not like SBST buses, Their lifespan is shorter? That why Mercs got extra so that SMRT can find buses to replace

I notice most of the SMRT trunk services cover very long distances, unlike those covered by SBS. Their break time for each trip is also considerably slower. For example, svc 65 covers around 25 km while svc 963 covers around 30 km. If you observe at Habourfront Int, when 1 65 departs, a couple of 963 buses have already come and gone.
Imagine how much mileage each bus cover daily, and how hot the engine is at the end of the day. With their standard of maintenance, it is no surprise that their buses don't last long. The O405 are like an exception, but again there are a handful of O405s that are in bad condition.
Singapore-Johor Express like SH577,SH800 etc which was registered to M-B OH1625L 5-cylinder model. Seem they can't bother to give it the maintenance it deserves from the use of non-original shoddy parts, i recall seeing when i last saw the vehicles few years ago. They should have modified it to auto gearbox & continue to use them instead of those newer but basically inferior Scania 5-cylinder junk chassi with the lousy ride quality which their new MAN's certainly are not better off in that area ! Overall their MAN better than their Scanias but still inferior in the class of travel experience, especially when noting their M-B V8's like SH 105,111,104 which are old but still top class in 'standard' which many newer models simply lack !
