How is this relevant to the thread named "Joo Koon Bus Interchange"?
Every now and then, there will be advertisements or sponsored articles about the warehouse club supermarket at Joo Koon "Fairprice Hub".
There's a possibility that the warehouse club supermarket is operating at a loss.
One recommendation for NTUC (the owner of Joo Koon warehouse club supermarket): Scrap the $30 warehouse club membership, and allow everyone to buy things at the warehouse club supermarket. There's a sizeable "catchment" at Joo Koon, but not many can afford the $30 membership. I believe if the membership is scrapped, sales at the warehouse club supermarket will improve.
you know your posts really intrigue me

Opinion: With the opening of the Tuas West MRT stations and Tuas road viaduct, Tuas would be able to accommodate more people. I foresee a change in land use, to allow higher density industrial developments, or even office buildings, to be developed at Tuas.
As more and more jobs are created at Tuas, more and more people would have to work at Tuas. Besides increasing the capacity of transport, I hope the Government could consider building residential neighbourhoods at Tuas, or build new neighbourhoods at Jurong West, to cater to the people working at Tuas. Travelling from the Far East to Tuas (the Far West) takes around two hours. Spending up to four hours every day on travelling is beyond the capacity of any human being. I do not think anyone wants that, unless no choice (eg. Have diploma in Maritime, but live at Punggol).

Hi mr gekpohboy, don't think Tuas is gazetted for residential area. Moreover, the Tuas port will shift there in another 12-15 yrs. Cheers. Thanks.

yes, unless gekpohboy might be referring to tengah? tbh i still have to agree that the connectivity is still only by mrt and dun have like long dist (express) service to other residential areas outside jurong (Je and Jw). Currently only 99 goes do clementi but too windy

That's what I mean. There may be a problem of traffic congestion and over crowding on the MRT westwards, as huge amounts of people swam to Tuas from various parts of Singapore. Hopefully, the future residential developments at Tengah has good transport connections to Tuas.

While writing the opinion post, I realise that there may be a possibility that the rumoured express bus route 500 could actually be to connect people in the North-East region of Singapore (eg. Sengkang and Punggol) to Tuas. This, along with another new route at Tuas, could actually be the two new routes in the "Jurong West" package of the Bus Contracting Model.

hmm sounds good, but idk if its too long?
nice!
How many parking lots does JK have?18?
I hope in future 254 can start from Tuas and loop around JK Rd instead to create space
for 185 & 502 start from JK.

Actually this arrangement is quite good. Ppl can connect to JK via 502, but it goes thru quite a bit of residential estate b4 it goes to the city. Hmmm not sure if thats the best? I thought of a more direct service frm an estate, like eg CCK to JK in the most direct way, so that ppl can go there quickly

185 should more direct,502 standard lor like 518,A variant skip those winding sectors.
If 185 & 502 were to be omitted SLBP, what will it be replaced?
