People will find it strange at times...even if this is already in the past,
but why does it contradicts the current situation right now?
Those buses that the service used in the past have the same width as the currrent, but why at that point of time it cannot use DDs at all?
Can I really accept this kind of strange excuse?
You should have at least cited the "old topics" so that we know what went wrong.

Maybe I am wrong to have used this kind of source as a reference...come to think of it, why 2-axle DDs can't be used when rigids of 2.5m width can be used?
Hope SMRT really gets DDs..

965 should get 3 splits, no more.

An OC is 2.55m width and there is no issue for them to travel on that road, why would a 2-axle DD which is 2.5m in width cant pass through that road.. even the army 5-tonne trucks which are much wider have NO ISSUE in passing through that road.... and those long/wide flat bed trailers which are carrying ARMY Tanks have no issue in travelling on this road...
When will the DDs come
Originally posted by sgbuses:On a more serious note, having stand-by and parked empty buses for students is actually practiced in Perth and Sydney.
It involves a timekeeper at the major bus stop to radio the drivers to enter service when the crowd swells.
Actually 74 does that for PM peaks.
Usually the SD will be waiting empty just before SIM and NP till a specific time.
It helps.
But the problem with 74 is that this bus is packed at practically all times of the day, including late at night.
My friend had a chat with a SMRT BC (TIB973A svc 67 driver), and he mentioned that 190 and 67 will get dd. Maybe 67 can get dd after all?

Another meaning hahahhaha genius.
Nice job for reusing the theory...by the way I will really like to see how it is actually explained.
67 along with 66 171 will get double deck buses

why would you go and believe everything that is posted by some guys... Do u really think that they know everything, esp that mr SBS8533C guy? you choose to believe what other say and yet ownself does not want to go and verify the truth and facts....
further, if you look at the topic, they are TALKING ABOUT the PAST (1980)... now and then are totally different...
and that guy even say that Sv172 cant use DD because of Tengah airbase?? what is this? last time there are also ppl who say that the bus routes to Paya lebar airbase cant use DDs... so what are the DDs on Sv90/94 doing down there?? what is DD got to do with the airbase? sit inside the DDs can see what is happening in the airbase?
Waste currant talk to some people who think theyre so smart la bro.Later they accused us of being blatant and bias...Let them rot la

got BCs also tell me that Sv105/159 going to get Open Top DDs.. u believe?? i can tell you that even if you dun believe, there are SOME other ppl (dun wish to name) who will go and post in facebook or quoted me that this is going to happen without even checking the real facts...
Thats the difference between old bus fans and new generation ones.BCs mostly heard rumours going on at depot ones

I don't think 960 can get DDs coz of Dunearn Road. 965 does not need DDs. The others definitely do. I would also add 169, 856 to the list.
For Yishun, you missed out on 856, 857 that definitely need DDs.
BPJ - 180, 75, 972 are good candidates
CCK - 188, 190, 300, 985 can do well with DDs.
SBS2601D why you nvr go adam rd fc to drink sugarcane ~ Arbo u be timekeeper for yourself so that you can radio in standby bcs parking near adam road to fetch you aft you makan~

My BC fren say svc 300 will get neoplan dd~ i even heard Sv 67 will merge with SBS Transit to operate this bus svc, mixture of dds and bendies!~

Funny why you say that.
In case you wonder, my excuse would be that I merely copied your line of thinking.
Habis.
If that appeared confusing or infuriatingly insufficient to you, I suggest you reflect and look also at what lemon said.
Though I doubt you would.
Any news about the bus? Heard from my friend that the SMRT livery has already been pasted..
