45 agreed. 43 can get 1 or 2 SD slot converted to DD. 43 is also very well utilized between Paya Lebar and Marine Parade.

Good suggestion. Long queues at Zoo during Sundays/PH for sure. Can have crossover DDs from sv 70 or 166 to do 138 on weekends.
Sorry for the late post, but I would like to mention something about 120... Yesterday, I saw a Citaro (SBS6381L if I'm not wrong) at Gillman flyover along Alexandra Road. It was quite filled up in the PM peak, with many standees). Looks like 120 does have a load, which it probably gains from Alexandra Retail Centre or nearby. I guess it helps commuters to get to Redhill/Tiong Bahru Road faster, as it goes straight at the junction with Jalan Bukit Merah past IKEA, unlike 51 which loops around Queensway and Commonwealth Ave, which commuters would have used to take (or take 51/61 to Alexandra Hospital, then change to 33 to Redhill/Tiong Bahru). So, 120 at that part is not really redundant, as far as I can say...

43 enough alr...
I seriously think there should be a feeder bus from Serangoon INT to Lorong Ah Soo (Loop). Residents there cannot keep depending on sv 45 and sv 53 for 4 bus stops wad, they are long-distance routes. If commuters want to travel beyond lorong ah soo need wait for next bus, which can be very frustrating. 113A can run full day..

And that's where I had suggested a modification for sv 113
113
Serangoon Interchange
Upper Serangoon Road (sv 45 stop)
Upper Paya Lebar Road
Lor Ah Soo
Hougang Ave 1
Tampines Road
Upper Serangoon Road (Kovan MRT)
Hougang St 21
Hougang Ave 1
Lor Ah Soo
Upper Paya Lebar Road
Upper Serangoon Road
Serangoon Interchange
This service can have 5 buses - 3 DDs, 2 KUBs
With this there is no need for 45A or 53A, 53B
SBS3693G SBS3694D SBS3695B should be deployed to 43. High loading at several sectors. SBS2630U out.

Sv 43 dosent need more DDs. It is more than enough already. The demand at paya lebar is like playing roulette. Either Sv 43,76,135 comes and the crowd would flock to that particular service. You have not seen Sv 43 during AM peak. Most of the sectors are empty

Well, it is not as bad as you make it sound :)

May I say that it IS indeed as bad as it sounds.
Some sectors are so empty that during peak even a strider has trouble filling itself.
Enough DDs alr lah... Compared to 43 5 years ago I think you should be more than happy...

I am. There is another person here who is echoing that he wants 3 more DDs for 43. I never asked for 3. I just said upgrade 1 SD slot to DD.

I would rather 1 DD slot to 1 SD

NO WAY. You guys have no idea of the loading of the peak loading of this service. I think you are spotting the bus in a low loading area for sure.
Enough la,wait put many DDs some of u say under utilised, put less DDs say operator nvr do their job...I think i feedback to LTA to employ standby DD drivers at deserted places during peaks just in case which svc need additional DDs ok...If svc 115 pack also can deploy them to ferry those ah peks from Hougang Ave 3 to St 21
I believe 43 should stay as it is. NO DD to SD, and NO SD to DD. 43 is doing fine with its fleet, if not better than excellent.
Ok since you'll so smart name me 3 SBST and 3 SMRT svc that badly need bsep

I think you should stand at deserted bus stops and call LTA to send DDs down~ If in a need of crisis then call SMRT loan drivers~
