169 normally had bendies at that point.
Yup dont forget 903 x 902 x-over and 912 x 902. All 3 buses are bendies not rigid like 346M n 233E. 3 bendies 2 rigid+ 169 split shift bendies. I cnt imagine DDs at that bus stop if 169 n 902 bendies come together.

Sorry... What I am saying here is Pandan residents can easily walk to West Coast road stop and take 143 or the other end Pandan residents can walk to Jurong townhall stop and take 143, 79 to get to the inner side of Teban. Both are just 300 mts away. That's the contradiction with your earlier point,

Hi mr BusAnalyser, yes they can still walk. But you must not forget the demographic population of these old estates as compared to the younger population in the estates I mention. Cheers.
5 really needs inprovements.
So many people cram onto it everyday, and BSEP is doing nothing. It should get some SD -> DD conversion, maybe 2-3 of its SDs can be switched to DDs.

Agree with tt, the loading is getting higher
Same goes for sv10, added SBS6429J > for wat?!
The demand for sv10 in the morning outstrips the capacity of a miserable CITARO 2 axle rigid...
sv36 has a timetable change wef Mar 24 but i have yet to see any improvements...
between 0745 to 0930hrs buses are still packed

Bro I like what you've said...
I think SBS Transit should order Double Decker Bendy for both 113 and 179/179A, like that these 2 people won't be the only passengers among over thousands of them complaining~

I agree. I have observed that the loading in the non-peak direction is also quite significant. Towards Simei in AM, pax can be around 80+. Also many use Simei to get to Upper Changi and many times you have 80+ pax here. With the recent loading, 13 DDs is not enought. SBST should change it to 15 DDs, 10 SDs with ARBP giving the 2 DDs.
The route between Bukit Merah and Trellis Towers is where the loading can be managed well by SDs. After that it is a DD loading, even if there is 59 in parallel.

Yes even I was shocked to see that LTA is giving Citaro additions to sv 10, 19, 154, 87, 293 which to me does not make sense. BNDEP has 3354/3355 spare, yet want to give Citaros.

sv 36 has got lots of service improvements in the recent past. Just adding buses is not going to help. People going to CBD for work do not want to cramp into a 60 pax filled bus. They would want DDs where even if it is 60 pax, all of them can sit and not get their clothes crumpled. LTA needs to understand this.
36 badly needs DDs, but LTA will do nothing. It can introduce 36B on full day basis with DDs. LTA/SBST are very rigid with their CGA bound fleet and do not want to give its SWT also DDs.

Cant wait for 169 to get DDs.
882 needs a rigid bus add (at least 1), but there seems to be a random O405 doing a TQ or crossover ...

179A is a waste ... scrap it

293 is a strange case, as the bus is only added to the East loop. I feel that the West loop needs it more, as frequencies can go up to 15 mins at times. Most of the east loop is also supplemented by 28 and 29, hence I don't see the need for an additional BSEP.

Add 1 or 2 DDs for the West Loop...

Yes agreed.
All these years I have already repeated my suggestion to LTA regarding deploying DDs on 27A FOUR TIMES, and all they gave me was that same shit with the reasoning of "height restrictions" and "deployment complications" which does not make sense at all!
So disappointing, just took 5 today and as usual the 40+ pax all from the Salvation Army stop flooded into the Bukit Merah bound EEV, when a wright should have been there. Leaving the 20+ pax connecting from CGA and CBP shuttles at the Mera Terr stop to not to be able to board at all!
Told you it's just all stage play. Could have been better had they at least BOTHERED to listen to the public!

There is a reason for it. If you see there are so many HDB units along st 41, 42, 43, 44, 45. And how many services you have? 3 in total with 28 having high capacity buses, 29 have none and 293 have just got a few (3 to be precise). AM peak sv 28 already comes full from st 45. There are times if there is delay in sv 28, people just take 293 even though it will go via Tampines Ave 7, and when it comes to st 42, 43, it is already full. There is absolute need of more high capacity buses. 29 does not justify it because of its route beyond ave 9 but 293 should definitely get 3 more DDs for the whole route.
West loop - I don't see a big issue. Most stops where it plies has alternatives. Around ave 3, people have the option of 291 and many prefer 291 to get to Tampines. Around ave 8, 69 is infact faster. Along ave 4, you have almost empty buses from sv 22 towards Tampines during AM. Hence, I feel west loop loading is still manageable compared to east loop.

There is no doubt that both sv 5 and 27A need DDs. sv 5 needs two more SD slots to DD for now.

Bro, BOLD your reasons that 27A does not ply CGA c if it works...

Well a BSEP Wright should have been added under the BSEP rather than 6412G, and it should be made to do full route. The whole fleet also needs at least 3 more DDs as you have stated.
