Still has a good load for passengers going to Bukit Batok (the west) though... A few passengers do take 852 from Yishun to Bukit Timah and Bukit Batok. It would not be operating in the first place if people had not complained of the lack of connection to Bukit Timah Road if it was withdrawn...

855 needs 2 DDs, 985 needs 4 DDs...
852??? Are you joking? ;)

That way every place to another place there will be travelers. Take 852 and observe loading.. If u see people who board at yishun alighting at bukit Timah then tell me.. Also tell me how many.
Many times PM peak observed 852 trailing 74 form Bukit Timah with only 30-35 pax on board which are leftovers of 157/74. These will alight before AMK and new load from Marymount to Yishun with another 30-40 pax. Yes if 74/851 have not called the stop for long then, loading can be even dd worthy but that is more coz of inefficiency of other two services than to merit of 852.
A new service 222P which will be operated by CDG will be introduced to cater to the load of current svc 222. The peak hour BSEP service 222P will ply from Bedok Mrt to serve Chai Chee area and back to the MRT station again, the service will commence on 29 April which is today.
When is 307P turn? LOL!! 307 frequency is turning worse these few weeks..
307 is mainly SMRT ridiculous run time and deployment..Should have 2 bsep buses covering A/P and split..And all work fine no need 307P

Totally agree. When SBST also improved the service so much in past year from 4 DDs to 7 DDs. There is no need for 240P

I have spotted EMPTY DD bunch up, deployment of 240 wasn't organised. Should mix around with the SD...
I guess the peak period svc is under some contract which expires 1/2 years? If the situation doesn't change, I think there might be major profit lost...

So many BSEP DDs... To keep spare? Lol
Actually this could be better...
179 : 20 Buses
179P : 12 Buses [Operates between the bus stop outside Jurong Point to NTU]
A proper, bigger and better bus stop for Boon lay coach and buses...
A wider road to cater to the road demand...
And I believe the extra buses from 179 can be use for other services which serves good usage. SBS Transit can also choose 179A which terminates at NTU in the morning, start from NTU in the evening...A proper railway connection is needed for the demand of NTU students~
Originally posted by SBS3688Y:i think when resources are stretch to the max during certain times and the pax volume are overwhelmingly huge, the ntu and also other institutions should work together to further stagger and spread out the tutorial timings. when i was in poly the class during certain days can start at 10 or 11am and end at 2 or 3pm
the school population today is very different from a couple decades ago due to steep increase of population. likewise for the entire sg population. so it should be a 2 way kind of traffic.
Hmm but did NTU charter buses for them? Like how NP did? I know it's not the same level here(if u get what i mean), but the least for such location should have shuttle buses...or even some train service.
all these school buses services should be under LTA BSEP instead.. govt should be paying for the running of these bus services (179/199/96/151/95/902/72B/74/31A/184) etc etc... so that the resources can be free up to improve other services instead..

NTU have shuttle service that starts from Pioneer MRT. but frequency is quite jialat and 1st bus at 8am is always late..making students late for 830 classes..and it dun serve much parts of the campus..a few reasons why i gave up in the end and took 179/179A/199 to school...straight to where i needed to go..

Agree totally..i wonder why SMRT/LTA keep refusing to add bus..heard from a number of 307 BC say SMRT dun want give bus to 307 cos it has LOW demand..but truth is that buses cant meet the demand..and for Saturdays late morning and early afternoon u see buses going back to back trips without breaks due to being late...bull shit!

307 need BSEP too badly... I suppose you have 8 A/P buses, then better frequency. BSEP can add 2 more MANs, either 1 split and 1 A/P or 2 A/P better...

But whats the use if the people who deploy these buses think that 307 has LOW demand? Oh well, both 300 and 302 have majority bendy fleet, dist much shorter than 307, yet they have more buses than 307 (Full rigid fleet), with both services having at least 2-3 BSEP add...
Run time i shall not say cos 302 and 307 are always late during peak and Saturdays..only 300 have many "extra time"

307 does not need bendy, but 307P would be useful for this service. Need couple of BSEP adds for frequency improvement.
