U kidding me?! Peak or off peak? 119 is heavily duplicated on most sectors...

I have no say.

Error. The redeployment of the WEGs.

Yes, you interpreted his statement incorrectly.

Yes 119 is heavily duplicated but it has its own uniqueness in Punggol field opp blk 272C and 268D and rivervale drive blk 117A and sengkang east ave. It is the only service that connects these less frequented roads and connects them to kovan. Thus it still has its loading at times occasionally and is still valued for Punggol west and sengkang east residents. Cheers.

No doubt about the few unique stops. Does it warrant DDs? You want to give 119 DDs, yet not give them to 27A rather?

Hi mr BusAnalyser, do not misunderstand. I just want to explain about 119 heavily duplicated portions and special uniqueness at few stops. I am not speaking about the need for DDs. I know the load is light currently. Cheers.

BusAnalayzer is right. It's a waste that LTA didnt hire him :P

Hi mr SBS5011L, I am right too. Everybody can see very clearly that 119 DDs are too excessive. They may come useful only at later stages of year 2015 onwards.
In my earlier paragraphs, I am talking about why sbs 119 is there and not removed even though its route is quite heavily duplicated save for some unique sectors. Cheers.
Wait... 3004X complain 119 too many DDs or too few?! V confusing...
If want to request to add, nt necessary, want to reduce, shldnt...

i not sure of 119 loading. but last Sun i took from Kovan, the Wright bus got a good loading though. upper deck abt 1/2 full. lower deck fully seated.
Upper deck half full = 27
lower deck full = 29
total: 56pax... Still can be managed well with SDs.

sv 82,107,119,136: i believe can merge some of these together to create better efficiency. how abt extend 119 to loop at Nex? 82 merge with 107 as per previous comments by others. and i find sv 136 getting more and more crowded esp bet Kovan to Sengkang stretch.
Hi mr SBS3688Y, sv 82, 119, 136 serve different crowds in Punggol and provide direct links separately for different segments of crowds. So cannot merge and end up 1 service no gone. Sv 136 is very popular in sengkang and hougang because of the various schools it passes by enroute to kovan. Its peak frequency is almost double that of non-peak frequency. Moreover, the sengkang east side near rivervale drive and sengkang east way has few trunk bus services. Thus when you feel crowded, it is usual. Cheers.

U kidding me, wah 3004X u c loading for 119 peak n school peak hours? Current fleet size is ok but remove it will cause inconvenience...
REM PREV 85 used to run from this route to HBF but was withdrawn due to route rationalisation, was brought bac as 119 to loop Kovan...
Best to extend to HG dep via Defu ave 1 to serve the folks working there n new link to Kovan for them > hub n spoke

hi mr dupdup77, i dont think i have ever suggested merging all these into 1 sv. i only suggested merge 82 with 107 and 107 continue all the way to punggol. i suggested 119 extend to Nex is to help cope with sv 136 high loading here. the peak for sv 136 can evenstretch to late night. so the double of freq also covers these period or only the peak hours similar to bus lane timing?
Yah DD u read wrongly... Mos of peeps here in favor of 82/107 merge for EoS n better connectivity
Btw DD, LTA have big plans for more bus lanes but they have yet to solve these 2 big problems
1. Heavy loading/unloading of Collyer Quay's OUE BAYFRONT bus stop during morning peak... Q there can stretch all the way to opp waterboat house at times...
2. Too many cars at Keppel Rd(near old railway stn) preventing buses from getting to the bus stop quickly... morning n evening peak DAY/NIGHT MARE EVERY WEEKDAY
Causing much delays n schedule disruptions worse during rain, there was a time when sv10 evening time lambat 22mins(saw console), i ask BC, he said Keppel Rd jam...
Like tt how to get public transport users happy?

Hi mr SBS3688Y, I think you misread wrongly. I did not suggest you saying merge all these into 1 service only. See carefully the statement. I write 'so cannot merge and end up 1 service number gone' which means merge 82, 119 and 136 into 2 services and end up 1 service number out of these 3 gone.'
2nd issue is sbs 136 does not go to NEX. So why sbs 136 got high loading there? Did you make a typo or what? So how sbs 119 can help alleviate the loading? You mean along the way?
Sbs 136 loading along night time is high. This is attributed to the reduced frequency at non-peak hours. Cheers.

Hi mr Acx1688, I did not read wrongly. What I write is merely a suggestion and explain the scenarios for sbs 82, 119, 136. I think mr SBS3688Y misinterpreted the sentences. See my response to mr SBS3688Y. I am always in favour if merging sbs 82 and sbs 107 in my much earlier posts. Just hope LTA will give in to all of us here one fine day. Cheers.
82/107 merger makes sense by all means... The merger will only benefit people, and not cause inconvenience to anyone.
Also am peak loading on Punggol road towards hougang can be very heavy. With merger, DDs on new service will help alleviate the loading in this region plus provide direct connectivity to people along Punggol road to Potong Pasir, Kallang and Lavender areas, overall improving loading for the service.
