Only undo route shortening.
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:If 82/107, don't merge, sooner or later, SBST/LTA will have to add 2 DDs to this service. Loads at Punggol Road towards Hougang are now reaching breaking point - easily go to 70+ pax. It is the only service that connects the entire stretch of Punggol road to Hougang MRT and beyond. Many living along Punggol road prefer to take 80/82 to Hougang than 163 to Sengkang. After these stops I am not worried because 87 joins in too.
Hi mr bus analyser, your statement that sbs 82 connects entire stretch of Punggol road is wrong. It connects 95% of Punggol road. There is 1 bus stop opp blk 293 in Punggol road which is served only by sbs 34. This is because sbs 82 has already turned into direction of Punggol place and MRT. So you must not say entire stretch of Punggol road which may mislead others. Cheers.

Yea, 84 goes to the north end of the road!

Hi mr SBS3004X, this is not possible. How to undo? There are not enough spaces in bus interchanges even if you undo route shortening to return to the pre-NEL rationalization because other services have been introduced and no of buses for certain service numbers has been tremendously ramped up and also hougang south interchange is no longer using. Cheers.

Hi mr 23ispolo, yes sbs 84 goes to Punggol road (north side) and Punggol road end. There is also one bus stop in the middle (opp blk 293) served by sbs 34 only. Then the rest of Punggol road is served by sbs 82 (this side of Punggol road is the one Mr busAnalayser is referring to). Cheers

Selectively yes, nt all

Why do you want to behave like a big grandfather here? If you understood what I mean, that is enough.
Either way even you are wrong because then it is not 1 bus stop but several more bus stops on Punggol road served by sv 84 as well. So don't mislead others showing you know everything. Cheers.

No need. Just a few services. Dont make general statement. Specifically tell which ones you think should be.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, I am not wrong. See my reply to mr23ispolo and you know I am right. I did not mislead others like what you say. Cheers
I really find it curious as to how it is calculated that the stretch of Punggol Road stretch which 82 plied is 95% of the whole stretch of Punggol Road...

Hi mr Gus.chong, I apologize for my poor estimation. The 95% is just a rough guide. Cheers.

In the post he quoted, your basis of misleading is that you did not include the stretch of Punggol Road which 84 plies, and with that pair of bus stops you mentioned + the figure "95%" it does amount to a misleading (despite you mentioning it later in your following posts, but I doubted that users would have linked multiple posts by you to support that point).
Furthermore, in all I believe that the current stretch of Punggol Road which 82 plies is suppose to be 55% of the whole Punggol Road, not 95% (I checked using the interactive map feature on PublicTransport.sg and observed that the length of Punggol Road which services 82 & 84 plied each is nearly as long with a 10% difference).

Hi mr Gus.chong, yes it will have been better if I have said everything in the same post. I thought people do read all subsequent posts too.
As per my earlier reply, my 95% is just a first instant sort of reply to mean it is not the entire stretch. Of course normally people will not take great extent to check the exact distance measured. Cheers.

You did... Punggol road extends to Punggol end where 84 plies.

Normally, people will not go to point fingers at other people. The intent is what was important - to repeat. The part of Punggol road between TPE and Hougang Ave 10 is where there is nowdays heavy loading towards Hougang. People there prefer to take 82 when it comes to Hougang rather than 163 to Sengkang. It was as simple a post as that.
And the main intent was the merger with 107 will help because 82 will get the AM peak DDs from 107 that will help to relieve load here. Else sooner or later, sv 82 will have to get 2 DDs.

Hi mr BusAnalyser. My post is correct. Anyway no ill feelings here. Cheers.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, no ill feelings here. Nothing wrong with pointing out an error in the whole stretch of Punggol road. There is no need to say me to be a grandfather or whatsoever. I am not causing any bad intent or criticize anybody. As most people can tell from the tone of my messages that are well mannered and soft with totally no intent to provoke people even when people write to me in a harsh tone. Anyway my motto in life is to move on. No point dwelling on such issues. Let's be amicable, ok? I offer my apologies if you think I pointing out a slight issue is considered offensive to you. Cheers.

** I really like 358P, 359P, 307P but I really don't understand 291P and 293P
** How is Tampines Interchange going to accommodate two more services during AM/PM peak? Will it call at the same queue as 291/293.. imagine already 2/3 buses bunch together on these services regulary.. now add to it the P services. This is going to be a mess
** Happy with 307P/358P/359P as there are no high capacity buses and the interchanges can accommodate as well.
Heard that 358P will be using mini buses..

If really use mini bus, its a mockery of BSEP which means LTA did not check the fleet of the operators before awarding contract...
Shall reserve my comments till launch wait pissed certain users here
Nwadays, certain threads 'air' v toxic...

I dont think it will be approved by LTA
Very simple what.....whichever bus has the ez-link reader installed means that one will be doing PPSS.

Ok I would suggest that we keep our replies constructive here and as you pointed be civilized. And not get into unwanted back and forths.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, 3 cheers for you!
Ok I let you know 1 thing first. I received some strong rumours that the TPE bus stop will open end June 2014. Let's look forward to it. No speaking of any bus services that will stop at TPE bus stops.
