The issue with Express routes is their reliability (or lack thereof).
An extra downroute or two from the CBD might be able to help.

It needs something between a DD and a rigid. A 2 axis DD (that will never happens) maybe? It needs at least a x-over DD during peak
8 could get a SWT from Blk 322 to Tamp East CC (and vice versa). IMO, 15's SWT should start from PSR Dr 1 instead (Buses leaving PSR Int is almost always full during AM peak).
Add on SBS3392A in CGBP 28 for BSEP improvements. 28 uses to have 23 buses, with BSEP, 24 buses currently running.

Actually I'm perfectly fine either way.
As long as I could properly fit into 518 on Friday and beer nights I don't really care which bus is doing the job.
But judging from how SBST themselves didn't even bother about this service for the past few years I think it's time LTA come in and help.

But can cfm fr 9 plus to 10 plus getting a seat after PS is difficult

After 7-8 pm every weekend getting ON is difficult after entering MBS...
If I recall correctly, 518's last bus seems to leave Orchard at around 12 midnight. I do not know why it took two hours for off-peak traffic to travel from PSR - CBD, but it normally reaches TP at around 12.45am. Last bus at Loyang (PSR bound) is about 1am, I think
I also remember the driver trying to squeeze people into the last bus at Bayfront MRT back then.

Perhaps make it service KPE -> HG Ave 7 -> Ave 8 -> Ave 10 -> Rivervale -> Sengkang Int?
To city: opposite of above, fly HG ave 2 and AMK Ave 3 to CTE towards Orchard

I do agree that it's high time now that Sv 518 gets a new fleet add. Its last fleet add was like 4 years ago (2699Y was the bus then IIRC). But i would rather they add a full-day bus to Sv 518 rather than a S-Shift or even E-Shift.
Because Sv 518's crowds differs heavily depending on the events along its route (think along the line of the events along TP, Orchard, Suntec etc), and those aren't exactly conforming to the regular office-working hours imo..
